then click on the appropriate visa type, about 1/3 down on the left.

Then.................

It will take from 1-3 weeks. There's one week of the month that I've noticed they assign interviews. I think its the 3rd week. But some of the other people in DR who recently got assigned interviews would be able to tell you better. ;)

Waiting for Issuance of Visa.........

After you receive your NOA2, you will receive a letter from the NVC telling you that they are processing your case and it will mailed to the Embassy in Santo Domingo. During this time your case is examined then repackaged and mailed to the Embassy.

To get valid information just wait 1-2 weeks and call (toll-free) the Visa Specialist (Department of State) in Washington D.C. Call 202-663-1225. Press Option 1 then Option 0 to speak to a visa specialist. (Do not waste your money calling the Embassy). They will tell you when your case was mailed and when your interview (cita) date is.

Also keep checking the Interview list to see when your interview is. Just type in the Case # that was printed on your NVC Notice (SDO2011...):

http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/scheduled_appointments.html

Your packet will be mailed by the mail service in Dominican Republic (Inposdom). Which may take forever (or it may never arrive at all). So be proactive, gather all your forms. I have a checklist you can use, let me know if you need it.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

Thanks MrTee12, but my process is a little different since I'm petitioning for a CR1 visa and not a K1 visa. My documents had to be gathered by NVC before they send me off to DR. Our case was complete at NVC as of yesterday and they are only waiting to schedule the interview before sending off the application to DR. But I'm hopeful that by the end of this week they will schedule my husband for an interview in January. I just have to be a little patient for the next few days ;)
