An update on the topic....

Right-wing activist calls on IDF soldiers to sabotage equipment

A day after settlers attacked a West Bank IDF base, one of Yitzhar settlement's most prominent residents, Boaz Albert, published a "personal letter" to IDF soldiers calling on them to sabotage the army's equipment and prevent evacuations.

The letter, published on "The Jewish Voice" website, ironically warns soldiers not to take certain measures against the army, but in effect provides them with practical advice aimed at preventing evacuations and house demolitions.

There are certain points that... will ensure your unit's operational capability to carry out the essential task of demolishing houses," Albert wrote.

"Dozens of vehicles move through your base every day," he writes. "You must take care that their wheels don't get accidentally damaged by sharp tools… It is important that the roads be clear of screws and nails."

According to the letter, "every vehicle has a 'switch' that is essential for its operation. It is very important that toothpicks or wooden chips do not get stuck in the switch, and glue must not be poured on it."

Albert goes on to "warn" against sabotaging communications system or the vehicles' engines, and advises that graffiti against commanders may hurt the soldiers' morale. He also calls for meticulous documentation of incidents.

"I am sure you can find other points that will… increase the chances of the essential mission of house demolitions, and make you feel whole with yourself for your important contribution to nation-building and building this country. Good luck."

I don't know what the government in Tel Aviv thought it was creating over the past 40+ years, letting these thugs run wild all over the West Bank, raising entire generations to believe they're above the law... but Israel's chickens are coming home to roost.

Jerusalem mosque set alight in suspected 'price tag' attack

Arsonists target burial site of noted Muslim figure

Arsonists set fire to a deserted mosque in central Jerusalem during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. There was no structural damage reported and the damage mainly consisted of the blackening of walls and graffiti reading “Price Tag,” and anti-Islamic phrases.

The Nebi Akasha mosque, apparently built under the Ayyubid dynasty in the 12th century with additions made under the Mamluk dynasty in the 13th century. It is believed that the mosque was founded on the burial site of combatants in Saladin’s army, though an ancient tradition designates the site as the place where Akasha, a friend of the Prophet Muhammad, was buried.

The mosque is uniquely located in central Jerusalem in the midst of a Ultra-Orthodox neighborhood. It was abandoned in the Israeli War of Independence. Its was recently renovated and turned into a municipal storage facility.

Graffiti spray painted on the historical site included inscriptions such as "Muhammad is Dead," "Muhammad is a Pig," and "Price Tag."

Then, when the police try to arrest the suspects...

Israel right-wing activists clash with Jerusalem police following price tag attack

Right-wing activists slash police-car tires, smash windows following attempt to arrest suspects following the arson of a historically significant mosque in the capital.

Dozens of right-wing activists clashed with police officers in Jerusalem on Wednesday, amid attempts to arrest suspects linked to recent so-called price tag attacks.

The rioters, some of whom reside in the capital's Kiryat Moshe neighborhood aftering being forced to leave the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar, slashed the tires and smashed the windows of several police cars. Six rioters were arrested and taken under custody.

Police sources indicated that several youths sought confront officers arriving at the Jerusalem apartment, while some of those present during the clash claimed that police officers hurled several activists through the first-floor apartment's window.

In the apartment, officers found weapon-like models as well as documents that may be used as evidence.

One of the neighbors, Daniel, told Haaretz that the "police is chasing 20-year-olds around instead of looking for real criminals," adding that "the youth weren't violent at all."

"These were people who were legally expelled and moved here. They have to live somewhere. This is the first time I have ever seen police officers acting without a warrant or due documents," he added.

Clashes in Jerusalem followed a series of recent violent events involving extremist Jewish activists. Earlier Wednesday, a mosque of historical significance in the capital was set alight overnight in another apparent "price tag" attack.

Arsonists set fire to a deserted mosque in central Jerusalem, with damage mainly consisting of the blackening of walls and graffiti reading “Price Tag,” and anti-Islamic phrases.

Earlier, fears that the Israel Defense Forces was about to evacuate an illegal outpost triggered several violent incidents targeting Palestinians in the West Bank.

Two trucks and a car were torched in the Palestinian village of Duma near Nablus, with the inscription "camaraderie Mitzpe Yitzhar" spray painted nearby.

In another incident, rocks were reported to have hurled at Palestinian vehicles passing through the Tapuach and Rechalim Junction; a young Jewish woman was arrested in relation to the attacks.

On Tuesday, dozens of right-wing activists infiltrated an IDF base in the West Bank, with others assaulting the vehicle of a top military officer, who escaped with minor injuries.
