To put nature of submission on envelope?

Hey there!

So we live in California and know that we need to mail our i-751 to the following address:

USCIS California Service Center

P.O. Box 10751

Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075

I've been reading online that some people write the nature of the submission on the envelope as well. For a I-751 what would you write and where in the address field would you put it?

No reason to write anything other than the address it goes to on it and your return address on it.

Thats all we did and had no issues.

We didn't put what the submission was on the envelope. I think the PO box is specific to I-751 anyway. I think other CSC case types have different box numbers.

Also why draw attention to it as the package is an identity thief's dream if they knew what I-751 is...

Disagree completely with the above. Absolutely put "ORIGINAL I-751 PETITION" on the outer postal envelope or the express airbill. Hand the sealed package to a postal clerk or express-shipment agent, and the possibility of theft approaches zero.
