Potential AOS check issue?

Hi all, my husband just got a bank certified check today for the AOS fee. He brought it home to me and I noticed that in the "pay to the order of" part, it says "United States Department of Homeland Secur" because the whole thing would not fit.

Will this be acceptable or should he go back to the bank to have it changed to "US Department of Homeland Security" in full?

Not sure if this will be a problem or not, want to make sure before sending it.

Thanks!

Attention to detail is very important when filling out and submitting forms to USCIS and NVC. I would change it as per the instructions - U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Perhaps it will go through as you have it now, but you might get it kicked back lo you. This would only cause further delay in an already lengthly process. God speed on your journey.

I understand attention to detail is important. Unfortunately, the person my husband gave the instructions to at the bank when filling out the check didn't seem to notice that the entire thing wouldn't fit on the check. I will have my husband get this one voided and have another made. Better safe than sorry.
