Hey!

Does anyone know if the NVC will contact is when they recieve our petition?

We received our NOA2 on the 5th of DEC. Just waiting to hear more now!

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Average waiting time is 2 to 3 weeks and you can call NVC. If you wait for a Personal Letter that wait will be longer or you will grow old and Die.

NO. Just the number for that Country. It is a matter of Record. You can get that from NVC

So I just called the NVC and spoke to a real person :dance: they don't have our application yet. She said we have to allow 15 business days for it to get from USCIS to NVC.

THATS A LONG TIME!! They are not THAT far away from each other! Vermont to New Hampshire! :bonk:

:rofl: you'll be surprised. if you get your case # in two weeks , you are among the lucky ones. some get in few days, some wait for MONTHS!!!!!! the good thing is once you get that # then most likel things move pretty fast especiialy if you are ready to go.

just keep calling maybe twice a week (midday after midnight when they close) to see if any change. try to speak with an agent at least once a week JUST before the week runs out

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
CR-1 (for Husband):
09/15/2012: Got Married
09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.

We both have same NOA2 date of december 5. I also called NVC and still no record of my case. Hope we hear something soon. Good luck.

Hi all, I just saw this thread and thought i'd chime in. I got my NOA2 on November 25th. NVC just received my case today and the lady I spoke with told me it had arrived in the building but would take another 10-20 business days to be put into the computer. THE WAITING NEVER ENDS. FML.

You can call NVC to see if your petition has arrived there and what is happening with it. If you wait long enough you will eventually receive the notice from NVC that they received your petition and are sending it to the appropriate embassy.

Sent I-129F: June 25th, 2011

NOA1: June 28th, 2011

Case "Touched": July 1st, 2011

NOA2: November 14th, 2011

NVC sent to Dublin Embassy: November 23rd, 2011

Dublin Embassy Received: November 28th, 2011

Medical: December 7th, 2011

Packet 3 Received: December 12, 2011

Packet 3 Sent: December 13, 2011

Packet 4 Received: January 5th, 2012

Interview: January 19th, 2012.......We're APPROVED!!!!!....

My NOA2 is November 29th and NVC still don't have it.

I thought when they get it they assign the embassy case number right away is that not the case???
