I have a question about submitting photos with I-129 app. I am ready to submit the application and have all required docs. We had some photos of us together, but they were mistakenly deleted off the camera, so i do not have photos of us together. I do have travel docs showing that i have been in the phils 5 times and a receipt of the engagement ring. do you think this will be enough? i do have another trip scheduled in jan. should i wait until then to take more pictures and then submit the application or can i submit the pictures after that time?

really excited to get started with this process.

thanks in advance for any feedback.

Ouch, no photos whatsoever? If you had them saved on a memory storage device or sd card, you should look into "card recovery programs", not just for visa purposes but for memories too :)

But I think if you had any previous bus tickets or any receipts showing you have been with her (movie tickets even), or any other way of proving you have made any personal contact with her at the time would surely help.

I'm still waiting to mail my petition as well, and I've at least 5 of the many photos of each other. I'm not sure if it helps any, but maybe take a screenshot of a webcam conversation you have with her. That's just my feedback, I'm pretty much on the same boat as you though lol. Depends on how long you want to wait though, I'd wait that one month just for the assurance though.

You do need photos, as this is pretty much the only thing that will show that you 2 met. All the itenerary and everything else, is good, but doesn't show who is the actual person. So wait till you get more photos.

IF you have not used that memory for more pictures (or maybe just a few) you can recover deleted photos, I found programs on the net that do that and I managed to recover photos.

Photos are secondary evidence but I am sure they will want at least one. (I have read on here of couples only sending in one photo and the 129 being approved)

Try asking your fiancee if she has photos also... then send it to you via mail then have them printed.

Even photos of you too together from a cell phone??? Come on..you're with a filipina, there's got to be pics somewhere...they love photos ;) Been to the Philippines 5 times and lost all the photos? By the way, I only turned in like 4 pics with my I-129f. I'm not that much into taking pictures :) Good luck

hahaha, im not into taking pic either, and those pics were the ones she took with her camera that were lost. haha, i do have a few pics on my cell, just one with both of us together in it, the others are a pic of her hand with engagement ring and a few in front of a x-mas tree, but not together. she took one of me and i took one of her. thinking about just sending those. still deciding on what to do.

Photos are secondary evidence. Nice but not needed. If you have plenty of other documentation then that is fine, you will LIKELY be approved.

Problem...IF they decide it is not enough they will ask for other evidence (RFE) and you will have none. Photos taken AFTER the petition is sent will not count. Your petition would be denied, you lose the fee and all those weeks in processing, maybe months. It is a risk. If you have lots of other evidence then it is a small risk, but if you run across an adjudicator that just wants to see photos you are screwed

Notation. Photos are not required to be date/time stamped.
