^^^ (Until AOS :secret: )

Congratz on your visa!!! :star:

:thumbs::rofl:

(And then ROC :secret: ) :P

My visa was delivered 8pm last night! :dance: :dance: :dance: At first I was shocked coz there's a diagonal cut on the upper right hand corner of the sealed envelop, thus, exposing the pages of the visa packet inside. I didn't open the plastic pouch at first. I can't even retrieve my passport inside. But after some last minute research, I've confirmed that it is just normal and is within the standards of the department of state. LOL! I think I'm just bein paranoid. Haha! :rofl: I scrutinized the visa printed on my passport and noticed that an additional "01" number was placed at the end of my original MNL case number. Is that normal? Also, my given name wasn't completely printed, I guess my name's just too long. Hehe!

Hmmm, I was just wonderin, do I still have to undergo the AOS stuff even if I'm on a CR1 visa? :blink:

Well we found out today that we will not make our original timeline and had to move our flights. The Visa's will not be ready on time and should be available by Wednesday 21 Dec. So now we look like we readjust and pray it all works out this time.

It sure has been a tough Journey but the bigger the struggle the bigger the prize. I know God has granted me the greatest prize available in my Fiance` and her daughter.

We want to say congrats to all who have their Visa's in hand and hang in there to those that don't.

Have a blessed holiday season to everyone.

That's the spirit! :thumbs: You're in my thoughts and prayers! You'll have your visa soon. Yay!

No, CR/IR Visa holders are granted LPR status upon POE so there is no adjustment, just ROC (Removal of Conditions) in 2 years for CR Visa holders...

Thank you for the prompt response and for clearing that up! :thumbs: I was a lil confused earlier. Mmkay, 2years after I arrived in the US, that's when I'll file and undergo ROC? Am I right? :reading:

Yep, exactly...

Then 1 year later you can file for Naturalization (US Citizenship) if you desire...

Thanks again Bob 4 Anna. :thumbs:

( :oops: ...you're a CR-1...no AOS for you... :secret: )

On Chinook's visa, they added an '01" to her MNL case number. :thumbs:

Yay for me then! hehe! :lol:

Ohhh, what a great relief. I haven't encountered any post here in VJ re the additional "01" in the end of a MNL case number. Phew! Mmkay, time to go to CFO and put sticker on my passport. Whoooo! :dance: :dance: :dance:
