January interview and 2011 tax return

A couple days ago I got a notice that our interview is scheduled for 1/11/12.

By that time I'm most likely not going to have my W-2 or some of my 1099s ready, so there's no way for me to actually have the 2011 year taxes filed. I can only take copies of recent paystubs and employment verification for 2011. I assume this would be sufficient. (With the I-485 application I sent transcripts for 2008-2010).

I assume last year's return is only required after the filing deadline, but wanted to double check here.

Yes! 2011 Tax return is only required if your interview is after April 15,2012.. :)

So.. YOu're definitely good with 2008, 2009 and 2010. :)

1/6/14... Email/Text received for acknowledgement of receipt. LIN****** case number assigned & routed to Nebraska Service Center

1/11/14.. NOA1 Hard copy received

1/17/14... Petition approved! Notification received via email/text (Thank God. 17 days only)/Approved petition mailed to Department of State! Notification via text/email

1/23/14... NOA2 Hardcopy recieved

NVC Stage

1/29/14... NVC received approved petition

3/7/14... Case Number Assigned (MNL**********)

3/11/14... Received AOS bill & Paid AOS/ Submitted DS-261

3/17/14... Mailed AOS Package

3/18/14... Forgot to Sign the I-864A, mailed another form with my signature affixed on I-864A

3/25/14... Recieved/Paid IV fee (Mailed DS-260 additional requirements)

3/27/14... Submitted DS-260 Online

Waiting.... Hopefully no Checklist. :)

4/24/14... Case Complete

6/23/14... Interview date! Huraaaay! APPROVED! More Hurray! :)

The officer who did our interview briefly reviewed the files she already had, and only asked us for additional pictures we brought.

Thanks Neko! It makes sense that 2012 documents won't be required, but I just wanted to double check.

We just got the interview letter today. I hope our interview is quick also! I just got some new pictures printed and I hope that's all they ask from us too!! :)
