That's America's problem and we will deal with it on our own time and fashion. In the meantime the Islamic honor killings can say in Islamic countries and the Muslims can deal with it.

In the US it's illegal to murder, beat, hit, etc... women, men, kids, whatever and people are punished for those crimes. Now you want to compare how we enforce our laws in regards to domestic violence vs Muslim countries? Go for it, but you better pack a lunch. Let me know when you want me to to start posting statistics and real life stories and how the Muslim countries "don't prosecute for these crimes". I can put a dent in this sites bandwidth with those links.

Most of the countries you cited also have laws against honor killings (although these laws often go unenforced or very lightly enforced.)

However, the percentage of female murder victims in the U.S. who were killed by their intimate partners is far higher than the percentage of the population who die in honor killings in the countries you cited.

Despite the efforts of the U.S. justice system that you boast of, it seems that the U.S. has a much bigger problem with deadly violence against women. I wonder what it all has to do with religion....

You know WoM Iv'e read some of your post on this board, and you come off as a intelligent poster on here. So give me some credit for the fact I didn't get a lobotomy this morning. In other words save the bs for a tard board but don't do it here please.

Now do you really want to compare domestic violence in the US and how it's deal with by the authorities vs Muslim countries? I mean get real.

If I do happen to have my sister gang raped by me and the rest of my family for screwing a Catholic, Muslim, whatever I'l be sure and post about it on here. If I see her walking down the sidewalk with another man unescorted by a female family member I'l try to keep it civil and just beat her with a baseball bat until I see some real blood.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Complaining is anyones right.... sawing off heads and slitting throats gets to be a bit much.

I'll admit Danno, I haven't been to church in a while. Do they no longer preach tolerance or is it just not practiced anymore?

Let's start with a recent story that's been in the news lately. :)

You live in the state with the highest domestic violence and incest rates and one of the lowest conviction rates for both in the US. In addition, Alaska has more alcoholics per capita than most other states, and the second highest rate of suicide. You have a lot of nerve to be complaining about other countries.

You know and I know that those figures are due to the Natives up here. It's nothing for them do get drunk and screw the nearest female no matter if or how she's related. It's what they do.

Women are murdered in the U.S. every day by men who wish to control their behavior (although their murders are not called "honor killings" here.)

In spite of how cases are handled by the U.S. justice system, the crime is still happening with alarming frequency - at a rate similar to or even higher than some countries where these murders are called "honor killings."

So what's the reason ? Is it because of religion ?

But I think that's the point, how things are handled by the justice system. When a women is raped and she is the one put in prison by the justice system; there is definitely a problem. You're comparing crime in the US where the criminal is punished to crimes in other countries where at times either the criminal is let off or, even worse, the victim is punished.

Again the US prosecutes the perps. Do you see a difference there? Link me please to some DV centers in Muslim countries that take court ordered men and council them as part of their sentence.

People here get drunk and sometimes whack their spouses. It happens. But the important part is that there are consequences to those actions seeing how we don't want that to be part of our culture...but as long as there's booze involved who knows what can happen.

I find it laughable that you are comparing domestic violence in Muslim countries to the US. That's like comparing hunting without a license and tag and paying the price, to mowing down an entire herd of elephants and not facing any consequences.

Actually, no. He is trying to make yet another case for his ongoing warnings about "the Muslim threat" - that Muslim people are somehow more prone than other populations to dangerous criminal behavior, and that Americans ought to be very, very afraid.

I am making the point that despite having a justice system that prosecutes many cases, Americans still engage in similar dangerous criminal behaviors (specifically regarding violence toward women) at a rate similar to or higher than these supposedly dangerous Muslims.

Define the word "rape".

If your meaning me offering booze to a gal to loosen her up a bit then yes, I'm guilty as charged. And if that was a crime they would stop selling booze and Old Spice along with Tony Lamas and tight fitting 501's for long legged guys like me.

Then more power to em. They night clubs and bars are full of guys like me. It's easy. Get home from work, shower up and throw on some clean jeans along with a ton of Old Spice and make sure the boots are shined and the McDonald wrappers are cleaned out of the truck and head on out to the nearest hot spot. Load em up with booze while spinning them around on the dance floor, then lay it on em during a slow dance. Drop one hand on their ####### while giving them a little tongue action on their neck. Then it's "off to the races".

btw if a guy is low on cash, it usually pays off to go for a fat chick...and just about every hot chick out there has a plump friend with her to keep her company.

Here's a question(s):

In these countries where a woman can be put in prison for being raped; I'm assuming that most people find that as appaling as I do. What is it going to take for things to change there? Obviously, since she was freed after a petition was sent in, the people in authority will listen when there is a public outcry; so, why isn't there more protests over these types of situations? Why is this even allowed to occur at all?

That's the difference between a lot of Muslims and the 21st century culture in the West. Muslims will march in the streets by the thousands burning flags, torching cars and embassies while putting a bounty on some guy over a cartoon, yet they don't seem to do much over some gal being put in prison for being raped.

Muslims have their priority's all fckd up.
