Vermont and Texas has the same times

Duh I know that its the average: average is when you add all the numbers together and divide by how many items there were....

Here maybe this link will enlighten you!

This average must be important otherwise why have it listed at all?

I've checked processing times before and overtime it said 5 months average.

USCIS National Goal

USCIS National Average

Vermont Service Center

I was coming on the forum to ask is the processing time from when they receive the paper to when you get the visa in your hand or when they receive your package until you get your NOA2?

I logged onto the processing times now and it it saying the average is USCIS National Average - 12.8 Month(s)! Okay end of July 2011 they received my package so does this mean my average is still 5 months (thats what it was saying the past few months) or now am I suppose to be waiting until next July?

Oh no :(

Stop checking. Problem solved.

Everytime you check the USCIS status, a kitten dies

Is that specific to Vermont or a National average?

Perhaps because the "Field Office Processing Dates for Nebraska Service Center as of: September 30, 2011" are January 1, 2008. Which means that the 1-129F forms being processed in Nebraska are from 2008. Which doesn't make sense, so I assume that this statistic skewed the results. If you've been waiting for over 5 months, you can call and ask about the status of your case, or write to your senator to try and speed things up, as its only supposed to take 5 months max. Mine took 4 exactly.
