They don't ask about this at first because they only looked at your petition now, it's been waiting to be adjudicated till now. That being said, it is unusual for them to ask for proof of bonafide relationship at this stage, before NOA2, usually the embassy does that. Anything unusual about your case such as recent divorce, previous visa etc? What exactly does the RFE say?

that´s weird that they normally don´t ask for proof of bonafide relationship coz we got denied when we didn´t send in the proof with oour original petition. we didn´t even get a rfe, they denied us after 5.5 months when we started calling them...

we´ve never been married, are about the same age, lived together for a year before we got married (I had a j1 visa for 2 yewars), have no kids, our families know about the realtioship and are happy for us, he visits me every 2-4 months, austria is not a high fraud country,...

what exactly did you send in with the original petition?

do you have:

joint bank accounts

life/ health insurance

prperty/lease/car together

skype conversations

phone records

emails

boarding passes + passport stamps from previous visits )honeymoon

affidavits from family and friends

pics r secondary evidence, but i´d still send them in (with time stamps and explanation who is in the picture with you)

good luck!
