hi all I have a question we just got our notice of approval and it is now being sent to nvc and to consulate overseas south africa johanessburg is this all i need to do here in the states we are wondering why we havent been asked for an aos Affidavidt of Support is this not required in South Africa, it would be great if it is not necessary as I am self employed and have a co sponsor, so my question is do they ask him for my aos or do they just ask him the general questions and medical and etc. Someone please enlighten me as I worry about these things.

Way to be helpful. If you don't understand the post ask a clarifyng question rather than trying to embarress somone.

The OP is asking if the affidavit of support is required at the Embassy in South Africa because they haven't been asked for one.

OP, your profile says F1 and I am not sure of the requirements for that but with other visas like, K1, CR1/IR some sort of affidavit of support, as far as I know, is always required.
