I just started getting this warning yesterday, and it only happens when I attempt to go to the RUB forum. I do not get this warning in any of the other forums. I'm guessing it has something to do with the ".ru" domain which happens to be Russian. I use Google Chrome if that helps. I will post the thumbnails of the "print screen shots" I took just a few minutes ago down below. The last and only time I skipped one of these warnings I ended up having to reformat my laptop only a few days later, and it was also from a .ru (Russian) domain.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

This is when you look at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/98-russia-ukraine-and-belarus/ ? I use Rockmelt (a chrome based browser) and also checked Firefox, don't get a warning on either. Do you get it if you look at other websites with a .ru domain?

I stopped getting that warning about 30 min. after I started this thread, but I ran a full virus scan just in case. I went to pravda.ru and all was good. I got it on two threads in the RUB forum and now I'm not getting that warning but I'm betting the farm there's something there and it got there from a RUB poster posting from Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Ewok might want to give it a once over and trace that domain, or better yet block it if that's possible.

You may still have a root kit installed, or your "protected sector" may be corrupted. Reformatting the hard drive will not get rid of the virus unless you wipe it first. There are a few programs out there that will do it for you.

My husband got a root.kit on his laptop a few years ago - what a malicious little piece of software! He is a computer programmer and it took him a lot of work to remove it from his system. He ended up having to remove everything, wipe the drive and re-install everything. He found the book 'Rootkits for Dummies" helpful so that might be a useful place to start.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I ended up replacing the hard drive on this when I reformatted last year. Windows wouldn't load up right...so I got a WD hard drive from Amazon along with Windows 7 64bit so I didn't have to put that Toshiba bloatware back on this. Little did I know that Windows 8 beta is coming out this February.

You never know. You add the right supporting cast to just about any movie and it can very well be a super porn.
