Hi there,

I just want to know how long it took K-3 visa holders to get their SS card, once they applied for it. It's going to be 2 weeks this friday for me so I just need to know for my own peacer of mind. Please only respond with your response time not a whole list of regulations.

Look what happened to someone else has almost no bearing on what going to happen to you. 50 people could tell you they got their SSN in 3 weeks and yours could take 3 months.

Totally agree with MdYoung.

However, if you look at my signature, you will see it took more than a couple weeks.

it took 7 days to receive after we applied.

2 - 3 weeks, as I recall. But as mdyoung points out, I don't know why that would give you any peace of mind. It could quite possibly add to your frustration.

I would have told him what he could do to try to speed things up, but he said he doesn't want a "whole list of regulations." The procedures are what makes things work, so not much you can do for a person that doesn't want to know the rules.

This was a basic question for my well being. I have already read the rules,but I have noticed that the rules have not been followed by the Social Security office for alot of people in the time frame it takes to get their card. This "survey" was meant to get a better understanding for K-3's.
