Hi everybody.

I have been reading the forum for a few months now and have received lot of valuable information while preparing my application packet. Thanks to everyone for posting their experiences.

I'm on f1 visa and my status is valid. I got married on Oct 15 and sent in my application to Chicago lock box on Nov 2. I received the text/email notification on the 7th. I received the biometrics letter on the 14th for appointment on the 29th in Jamaica new York. I moved to Ohio during the middle of the month and updated the address on the uscis website. I went to new York on the 29th November for the biometrics appointment which went smoothly.

Today I received another notification from uscis that my case has been moved to national benefits center for appointment on January 12.

What does that mean? I looked up the address for benefit center and I can't find any in Ohio.

Will moving from new York to Ohio have any effect on my application process?

How good is uscis about updating the address on the application after you move? During my biometrics appointment the lady asked me to verify the address and it was still showing my address in new York even though I had updated address two weeks prior to the appointment. She did change the address for me in the system though.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks guys.

It means you will get an interview notice in the mail for your local USCIS office and you will go to the interview for your green card.
