You should really just take a break from thinking about it if you can. This process seems to do nothing but anger you. That lady was really out of line when she dropped the t-bomb. For your sanity, and for everyone else's, take a break from calling, from posting, etc. Just live your life and be thankful for the things you have now and be thankful that this process hasn't torn you and your spouse apart. Also, make your mantra "this time next year it will all be over." I know it's hard to live outside of RIGHT NOW but you have got to or it's going to affect your health. I like coming to this board and seeing positive things, not people calling the USCIS people liars and saying "rot in hell." They're doing their jobs, just let them work. And honestly, with your NOA1 date you might be more fit for the Jan filers board... my NOA1 date is early in Dec, but, it's in Dec... so I'm on the DEC board...

yeh I would agree with the Jan. filers for that person tho.. his Noa1 date is Jan 3.. or something like that..

That's right. I have learned this a long time ago after I saw frustration July and August filers had few months ago.

I have not called CSC and not going to call them until I finish 6 months from my NOA1 date. Always think positive that No news is a good news :)

Time to get back to work now and stop thinking about this lousy process :)

Musashii you can post here, or anywhere. You all should try to understand this person. I agree tone down the language. But also, try to understand someone else's frustration and let them come here among friends and fellow petitioners and let them vent a little. They filed their forms in December. Musashii just take this whole thing 1 day at a time. Its all you can do for now. Just think of it this way. Everyday that goes by is 1 day closer to the end. When you wake up the next day say to yourself "ok i'm 1 day closer to my approval".

Very true, it is a free country! I'm just tired of the negativity and passive aggressive behavior every time I open the Dec 2011 filers thread.

We are ALL in the same boat here.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm. Every once in a while you get some straggler come onto a board and post NOA2 la di da and when you look at their timeline its like 3 weeks or 2 months from their NOA1. Then you ask them over and over how did you get approved so fast blah blah blah and they never answer you. Here is my philosophy, people know we are going thru hell waiting and wishing for happiness and they come up on these boards and post false info just to add to our frustration because it amuses them. You don't think so? Trust me there are many people sitting around the house in their pajamas all day doing this kind of silliness. Just chill out dudes!!!! Listen to Thrilla, "1 day at a time". Back in the day (pre Obama era) I-130 filing to Visa in hand took average 1 year !!! Then they sped up the process last few years of BUSH era the whole process took average 7 months. This is because they are trying to phase out the K-3 visas. Now since the past year budget fiasco this process is taking average of 10 months. I studied this by looking at other boards and seeing what kind of timelines people are creating. People who filed same as us over a several month period before we did. They are waiting like 10 months average to get the complete process done (USCIS, NVC, Embassy interview). I wouldn't start worrying or calling USCIS unless about 5 months passed and you hear nothing. Check your case status on their website using your WAC# .

Then leave it blank, but even DCF filing is going to take more then 2 weeks in most locations on Earth lol. anyway whatever...

Actually there is a selection for it, it says select here if you are filing abroad.

You know what DCF is, incase other people dont know, Direct Consular Filing is when you file your case at lets say the US Embassy in Manila. Like if I lived in the Philippines because I was on active duty or worked there or retired there but still maintained my domicile in the US I would file it at the Embassy. Now why would I or anyone else put down Vermont or California if I filed it at the Embassy in Manila? I never encountered this on here, you have seen this? The time line is pretty clear and also the timeline you can make in your signature can be anything.

well I don't really bother to see if it was filed thru DCF or not. If I see someone getting approval in less than 3 months window from NOA1 (whereas others are getting it on an average after 4 or 5 months), then it must be a special case or extremely lucky. There are many tools out there in the world and not everyone has enough time or interest or skills to learn everything unless they find it interesting :) So I don't complain them being dummy. All I care is there are still majority of VJ members who get this right and gives me the right information I am looking for from this forum.

I like your attitude!

You know, looking at a lot of your signatures I see a lot of us Dec filers are in the same boat! I, too, married my husband a week before sending out the i130 :)
