Thanks smart 84!

I am the beneficiary's , My hubby filed I-130 in US.

Enjoy your this phase :)

I am the petitioner and my wife is in India, and usually Indian filers get their number little after European and North/South American countries files are processed. That's my observation for last few months.

In Igor's list I don't see any NOA2 approval for December filers (regular petitions). I see some early November filers (mainly whose spouse is from North/South America and European countries) have started to see their NOA2.

Called CSC and talked to a rude tier 2 lady who strictly told me they are currently doing October 2011 and when I said to her that some November filers have got NOA2, she said they are lieing.

I would simply try to confront with her in this case. I would definitely ask her to disclose her Agent ID and ask her whether she agrees to expedite your file if you return a call in a day with a tracking number from November filer who got approval recently.

I don't buy an argument that many ppl on VJ would give fake NOA2 status update from the same month. There may be few but not all in the same month. I definitely believe they have started November month already but most of approvals are still from October month.

I trust VJ family here more than the USCIS people but that whole argument got me so ... no nice words to use that I ended up telling her F word and she hung up on me because was telling me no way, I have it on screen in front of me and we are still doing October. Telling me lies after lies saying they are "processing" my petition and that is why it is still showing "initial revirew" when I know for a fact that they have not even touched my petition yet and it is sitting in a corner till it reaches an adjudicator's desk.. Then she told me "oh we have to make sure your husband is not a T word" and it takes lot of time to do background checks with FBI and such ... You may call after 60 days if you still have not heard anything from us, we are still within our time frame".

You cannot even confront them they will simply hang up on you. She did tell her name which could be a pseudo name and she refused to tell her ID number.

Sometimes people get NOA2's faster , depends where the beneficiary lives. Also I noticed people who are married for a while get NOA2's much faster. For example, this Nikkita person has been married since 2007 . When people are married that long already they get a faster process. I been thru all of this 3 times in my life, this whole process from petition to green card. This is my experience. If you keep calling USCIS your going to end up taking much much longer to get processed. If you think this phase sucks now, wait til you get to NVC process. The NVC can have you pulling out your hair if you call them. They will tell you they never received your papers you sent in, dont have your file, need more evidence, and all along they have it and its being processed or its even approved already. LOL everytime you call you will get a completely different story.

Expedite request ? I seen people get expedites approved but most of the time they deny them. And seems like some of the requests that sound like total BS get approved LOL. This 1 girl in Philippines got a expedite request approved. This was her reason. She was married to a USC and he lived in California. Her aunt also lived in California and I guess was a USC also and her aunt had kids like under 10 years old kids. Anyway she said she needed expedite because her aunt had joined the army and was being deployed to Iraq and her aunt needed her to help take care of the kids who would remain in California. USCIS asked to see the deployment letter from the army and she sent them a copy, she was approved. To me this sounds like BS but it worked for her. But you know an expedite only really saves you a few months at best, you still go thru the same NVC process and Embassy process.

This kind of proves my point. Some December and evev March 2012 petitions have been approved for whatever reason but USCIS staff keeps denying. It is all a web of lies and they are adept at weaving it.

As for expedite, you are right. Bullcrap stories work and real reasons get denied. I was denied without even being asked for any evidence. I can only say that may those liars rot in hell.

You should really just take a break from thinking about it if you can. This process seems to do nothing but anger you. That lady was really out of line when she dropped the t-bomb. For your sanity, and for everyone else's, take a break from calling, from posting, etc. Just live your life and be thankful for the things you have now and be thankful that this process hasn't torn you and your spouse apart. Also, make your mantra "this time next year it will all be over." I know it's hard to live outside of RIGHT NOW but you have got to or it's going to affect your health. I like coming to this board and seeing positive things, not people calling the USCIS people liars and saying "rot in hell." They're doing their jobs, just let them work. And honestly, with your NOA1 date you might be more fit for the Jan filers board... my NOA1 date is early in Dec, but, it's in Dec... so I'm on the DEC board...
