CSC is still processing most of August filers and started seeing some actions for September filers. I don't think December filers will see any updates for next few months. Though I hope it gets quick action in coming months from CSC for September onward filers.

pace should start to pick up now, its election year plus USCIS just got some funding to increase processing

I am not aware of any fund increase to USCIS. Can you share the link for this info?

i heard on news last month that the reason for 6 months of backlog at USCIS is because the US has been operating on NO budget so they weren't getting any money causing the backlog. Last week I heard on news that the Senate approved something so that USCIS and some other agencies would get some money to start working 100% again.

They said USCIS stopped getting money like back in July2011. In Feb 2012 they started getting money again. This is what they said.

hmm interesting. Typically any funding from government takes too long to make a real effect on government department after some time. But I hope it makes a quick impact on USCIS.

I think many people where really complaining. I been thru this whole process before and it never took more then 7 months from start to finish, visa/greencard in hand. Now I see people waiting 7 months for NAO2. its crazy!!!!!

Let's pray that's the truth and they start pumping out approvals.

Though... I kind of hope my approval comes right before or right around the time the lockbox for i601 goes into effect... I can't bear to be another 12+months w/o my husband b/c of the waiver :/

I'm the petitioner, a USC. My husband is a Salvadoran national and we will need to file the i601 for illegal presence.

Good luck! I am not aware of I601 so not sure what that procedure is all about But hope you get your things done quickly.

Basically the government is going to give my husband a 10 year ban from coming back here with a VISA because he was here in the US for more than a year w/o papers. We will file the i601 (the waiver for extreme hardship) which basically is me begging the government to allow him to come back here ASAP and not after the 10 year bar. I have to jump through hoops and prove I'm suffering. It sucks because all my arguments are level 3 and 4 arguments (ie; not life or death so not important to them).

If they find him inadmissible to file a waiver OR they deny our waiver I'm going to move to ES. I'm not spending 10 years w/o him. No way no how.

Aaw I am so sorry to hear your story. I can definitely understand how painful would it be for you to live without your husband and also not able to know whether it will be a year or more because of previous record. I pray your case gets handled by government with a sympathy and your husband comes back to USA ASAP. All the best!
