I too am getting increasingly nervous. I feel like the closer you get to the light at the end of the tunnel, the more nerve-racking it gets.

My wife called two weeks ago or something like that and they told her if we had not received our NOA2 by May 1st, she could try calling again. I chatted with her about an hour ago and she said she can't wait to call and she's all excited. Me, I'm on the edge of my seat. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight.

What number did she call??? do you know Bork?? and did you ever get a chance or inkling to watch INK????(from the last movie....thread)

Everything on that list pertaining to our case :)

Looked at the list and it says Police certificate is required.

India's "Country Reciprocity Schedule" shows various police certificate validity time frame based on visa classification. I don't see IR-1 mentioned in there. Which visa category applies for wife based immigration I-130 application?

Has anyone start working on preparing NVC documents?

For better or for worse, I decided against that, I will start getting all required documents when I know exactly what documents I need.

I remember, for example, that when my wife and I got married here in Sweden, we had to get a marriage license (sort of like a permission to get married, issued by the Swedish state) and it was only valid for a limited period of time (3 months I think). I don't know if the same applies for documents required by the NVC/embassy, but one reason I have waited to start getting all documents is I thought that if I show up at the embassy with a document that says that it was printed before my case was forwarded from CSC to the NVC, that might be thought to be presumptuous. And as much as I have high hopes, I am not the kind of person who takes anything for granted. So I would not want to be looked at in the light. Know what I mean? Maybe I'm over thinking it, but that course of action is what made the most sense to me.

1. I know NVC requires AOS packet. But do we also need to send IV packet to NVC? My impression was that my wife (beneficiary) will take IV packet to US Embassy in India when she goes for an interview.

I have wondered a great deal about this myself. I've read those checklist here on VJ a million times and maybe I'm just too stupid to figure it out... but I don't understand it.

Something else I have also wondered about a great deal... The documents I bring (transcript of police record for example, record of military service, birth certificate etc)... Can I bring originals in Swedish or do I have to get English translations? I mean, to me the more logical option would be Swedish documents, I figure the embassy in Sweden ought to be used to Swedish documents.. But on the other hand, I do not know for sure. It could be the other way around.

Sorry if I'm asking questions that others have already answered. I'm getting kinda worked up and nervous here, I don't feel like I can think calmly and rationally at the moment, so I hope you won't hold this against me. :(

Surely the Swedish Embassy will be staffed by Americans who want translations? Idk?

I have absolutely no idea. I'm the foreign national/beneficiary. I assume it was 555-1234.

Na, j/k. I'll send her a message and ask.

ADD: And btw, no, I completely forgot about the movie. I may check it out some time in the future. I don't have the peace of mind for that right now. :P

LOL reading your comment makes me say one line to you "dude you need some sleep" :)

Seriously, you seem to be freaked out due to this long wait :)

I will generally comment on your entire opinion that it's always better to learn things ahead of time and it never hurts. You know what you have to do when NOA2 shows up in your mailbox. I don't rely on attorney and like to do my things by myself and I don't mind reading things on VJ and ask others if I don't understand or confuse on few things. That's just my personal point of view :)
