I'm afraid I shot myself in the foot by asking for an expedite. Now my case is at a local office and has been since Friday :( -- onward and upward to the rest of you!

USCIS - CSC/LOCAL OFFICE DC

12/5/11: NOA1

4/25/12: Case Transferred to Local Office (DC) for "Additional Processing"

4/27/12: Case Received at Local Office

5/15/12: RFE (daughter's birth cert)

5/15/12: RFE Evidence Sent (never received)

8/10/12: Infopass, evidence handed to officer adjudicating case

8/13/12: NOA2

NVC

8/20/12: Case Received

8/31/12: Case #/IIN Received

8/31/12: DS3032 Sent

9/11/12: ERROR MESSAGE! biggrin.png

hehehe :) There is no such definition to define who qualifies for expedite requests. USCIS reviews case by cases and decides if your reason is genuine enough to expedite your application for your given circumstances.

Example of one approval I saw on VJ:

Petitioner was in army and deployed. His parents were disabled and need someone to give them an assistance. So beneficiary (wife) got her file expedited.

Apparently my reason and supporting evidence warranted at least a peek. Though I'm really, really nervous it's going to just sit now for a month or so :(

I too am getting increasingly nervous. I feel like the closer you get to the light at the end of the tunnel, the more nerve-racking it gets.

My wife called two weeks ago or something like that and they told her if we had not received our NOA2 by May 1st, she could try calling again. I chatted with her about an hour ago and she said she can't wait to call and she's all excited. Me, I'm on the edge of my seat. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. :blink:

Has anyone start working on preparing NVC documents?

I looked at EZGuideSpouse last night and have few quick questions:

Questions:

1. I know NVC requires AOS packet. But do we also need to send IV packet to NVC? My impression was that my wife (beneficiary) will take IV packet to US Embassy in India when she goes for an interview.

2. In Form DS-3032 (Link: http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80023.pdf) should my wife select 1st checkbox "I Appoint" and provide my name and address as I am the petitioner and acting as an agent for her application?

3. If I need to send IV packet to NVC as well, then should I go ahead and ask my wife to fill out DS-230 part I (with signature) and part II (without signature) and send it to me before I get my NOA2? So this will eliminate any delay to get documents from her to me in USA. Have you guys already got DS-230 done from your beneficiary in advance?

I just thought to start this discussion on this thread since we all are in the same boat and may guide or help others to find out things before our file goes to NVC for next procedure :)
