I am trying to get my l-130 ready to take to Delhi so we can do DCF there. I am american and my husband is Indian. I have been staying here for over 6 months now and plan to apply in Jan. My Parents are coming to visit in January and I am trying to find out anything that I need them to bring from home for me to file.

I am going to be using a joint sponsor and I am wondering if when you apply via DCF , does the I-864 get sent to the NVC in the US or does it go to the local consulate? I need to know if I should get all my joint sponsors documents brought to me or if they should submit them there?

Also , does anyone know if I will have a hard time showing Proof of Domicile when I have been living here in Indian for 6 months, I still have my drivers license and bank account there and intend on staying with my parents at the beginning. Should I get a letter from my parents saying they are letting us stay there? its the same address as on my drivers license and bank account.

As far as I am aware (UK DCF) you do not deal with the NVC at all. You bring all supporting documents to the interview with you. I just had my joint sponsor mail me all the paper work.

Seems like we are in a very similar situation (only I'd been living in the UK for 3.5 years). I had a copy of my license, ss card, a letter from my parents stating their willingness to allow us to live with them, a print out showing I was registered to vote, mail from my parents house (as I maintained a mailing address there). I was never asked for any of this at the interview, I don't know if you will or not but that's just a sampling of what I took.

Here is a useful thread on what others have used:
