Hello Everyone,

So it is going on 11 days since our Fiance visa file has arrived at the Dublin Embassy and still no packet 3. I'm feeling a bit anxious because it seems that usually people receive packet 3 within just a few days to under a week. Is this normal and am I freaking out for nothing or could there be a problem? I've tried emailing them, but haven't received any sort of response. I am also trying to avoid calling them because it costs 2.40 euros a minute!

Any sort of help would be appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time!

Okay, I wanted to do this, but I was worried that we wouldn't send in the right forms. I found the DS-2001 online, notice of readiness, so we can send that and I know that we need DS-230 part 1 sent in, but then they also want this "signed checklist" I can't find the checklist for Ireland anywhere online! Otherwise I would send it in. I don't want to get delayed because we didn't include everything. Any advice?

I sent my documents without the checklist. I sent ds-230 part 1, a copy of my passport - personal page and 2 passport pictures. When I finally received packet 3, I saw I should have sent ds-156 and ds-156k as well. But it seemed that it wasn’t a problem, I just took those with me to the embassy. Nobody called me to tell me our petition is at the embassy or if I want to schedule an interview. So I kept calling them and the first time I called I asked if I can send packet 3 before I get it and they said yes. I don't know if the embassy in Dublin has the same requirements but I'd think they ask for the same things - I don't know what DS-2001 is for...maybe posting in the forum for Ireland would be better...Good luck!

Hi Heather, I saw a checklist on the bangkok embassy site. i wonder if you sent that if it would work. At this point, it doesn't seem it could hurt. then when your fiance gets packet 3 he could resend the items if you haven't already gotten packet 4. I looked all over the internet for the Dublin checklist too and got nothing.
