I am so excited! We have visa in hand. What is it they are suppose to hand back at POE. I know it is the I-9(something) Is that what is stamped in his passport or is it in the mysterious envelope? Anything else to know about POE? He will be coming through Charlotte Douglas, we have never had a problem with them.

I came through Charlotte when I came over. It was wonderfully quiet and I was out of there in no time at all.

So on the plane or at the airport in the U.K he will fill out a white I94 form instead of the green I94W(visa waiver) that he would normally come over on. Pics of it can be found here, http://www.visajourney.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=5

When he goes through POE he will tell them that he is immigrating and hand over the infamous brown envelope and his passport. After his finger prints and picture have been taken the CBP officer will put his stuff into a clear envelope and he will be told to collect his luggage and where to go after he has done this. As he is going out of the luggage area he will be diverted off, literally just off to the side, where they will complete his paperwork x-ray his luggage and he will be free to go.

It is a very quick and simple process. Good luck for your future married life and continued immigration journey.
