Okay, this is a quick question. My fiance is a union carpenter. Have been since 05. He's only 26. I'm 23.I'm a registered nurse and also have my RN license for the US. He's also a trucker (he has his CDL license) but he just quit trucking to pursue his dreams of being a police officer. Now, he's gunna go to the police academy to be a cop but anyhow while attending the academy, he's gunna have a part time job. Now, the problem is, would it be a problem when I'll already have my interview? because we might not be able to meet the income requirements for year 2011..but he had enough for 2010 and the past years. More than enough actually. Construction wasn't just backing up this year.. So what to do? I've heard, the Manila embassy gives more consideration for students regarding co-sponsorship. We're gunna have my aunt in Seattle as a co-sponsor. Would it be cool? Thank you VJ-ers!! ^_^

Yes, get a co-sponsor for your case! That is good idea. :)

Be careful recommending a co-sponsor for Manila Embassy. This Consulate is notarious for not accepting co-sponsors, except on a case by case basis.

OP - I recommend you search threads for "Co-Sponsor, Manila". You will find many postings about people's experience with the Consulate iin regards to accepting Co-Sponsors.

If the Aunt in Seattle is a USC then thats good. Past Income shows above Poverty Lines, that is good. (2010) Manila I understand can be quite picky about a Co-Sponsor. As you know, Provide a Separate 134 for the Petitioner/Co-Sponsor. I would say your Case looks more Positive than most.
