Too bad they went 2-8 against everyone else, huh? They were the 3rd place team in the division last year. Complaining about strength of schedule is weak at the best of times. When you are talking about the difference between 3rd and 4th place it's basically non existant.

Look, you brought it up. You said the Raiders had a difficult schedule and the Broncos didn't. That's not true. I get that you don't think much of Tebow, but it sound's silly to come up with a different excuse every time they win.

Sounds like all the other naysayers and pundits. "He can't throw ... no wait, it's a gimmick offense, ... no wait, it's a weak schedule". It actually validates the original post.

That is a spot on assessment. It just goes to show you how far people

Ever since my son decided to attend UF, I have been following the Gators. I watched Tim come in his first year coming in behind Chris Leak, usually on short yardage situations. Everyone expected rush...and they usually got it...with Tim bulling his way through everything. But, he could also pass. His technique may seem unusual, but I watched time after time Tim deliver spot on footballs, threading many a needle. I found it very strange that people said he couldn't pass....but...who listens to me? If Boomer Esiason or Jerry Jones say he can't pass...than all the parrots in the country will pick up the call.

This kid can play and he can lead. Being a good quarterback is more than just throwing a pretty spiral...it is about inspiring those around you and bring out the best in the rest of your team. This is what the country is witnessing. They are seeing a young man with a huge amount of people wanting him to fail...for whatever reason. I don't know how many of you who are in this group would have the courage to even take the field, much less go out and play in front of an entire country with even the 'experts' saying you don't have what it takes. How many of you have gone in front of a hostile crowd for whatever reason? Did it make you nervous?

I am sorry, but going 13-1 in the SEC is much taller order than playing anywhere else. Tim dominated the SEC the three years he started there. He lost one big one to the Tide....but they played flawless football and the National Championship. I watched John Elway cry on the field after losing his first super bowl....and his second...and his third...until he finally won one. So...losing to the Tide was a testament to how good they were, not a knock on Tim's skills. You really can't win 'em all.

It truly is a team effort. Give Prater credit for two long field goals. Give the Defense the credit for stepping up and keep the opponents with less points than the Broncos end up with, credit everyone for playing better football than they did the first games of the season under Kyle Orton....credit the coaches for coming up with the game plans, because credit is due everywhere. I do have to say, that his receiving corps should work on catching balls a little more...or at least take the butter off their fingers.

I can only imagine what would happen if the Broncos picked up a Greg Jennings or Percy Harvin and maybe a Rob Gronkowski....what would the Broncos look like then?

Seriously, the Broncos were 4-12 last year and many analysts said they would be lucky if they reached that total again this year. With Orton at QB, that's what they were on track for. The rest of the offense and defense are the same as before(minus Lloyd). Even if the Broncos lose the last 3 and end up at 8-8, I'd guess most Broncos fans would be happy with how the season turned out.

The Broncos have confirmed they are now committed to moving forward with Tebow next year, so it will be interesting to see how they do after a whole offseason of reps and a system built more around Tebow's strengths.

I have to agree. I am not really a Tebow fan as I was a Big 12 fan but I did like watching him play. He was among the most ferocious competitors I had ever seen the years he played. (McCoy also) I never understood why so many said he could never make it in the NFL. He had more talent than most that played and started. He knew the game real well and what it took to win. He made everyone around him play better. He was also very modest. he always took the blame for losses or mistakes and passed on the praise to others for when things went right. I watched him some this year and the same fierce determination is there. I also expect Denver to go and get more talent around him to complement his style of play. They have the defense already.

I again watched some of the game yesterday and Chicago had Denver beat the whole game and again at the end Tebow came back and did what needed to be done to win again. I can't explain it at all. It is like they are playing a rope a dope tactic. They take a beating and then when the opponent tires at the end they beat you. The defense just keeps it reasonably close so they are able to score enough to do it.

I am wondering though why God has it in for my Texans. It is like the football Gods zap the best players and takes them away from us. Somehow someone has kept stepping up. (Next man up) We won the AFC south title with a game that was among the most nail biting awesome games I had ever seen. I was stunned when we finally got the TD with a few seconds left. We had a third string fifth round rookie QB playing. We were missing our star WR. One of the best defensive players in the league in Mario Williams has been out for the season. I had high hopes for the year and then was crushed when all these injuries came. Now we are in the playoffs with at least the first game at home. The odds may be they can't win but I have hope now they can do it. Maybe the football Gods dealt it this way.

You may not be familiar with football, but the read option is a new offense. Yes they run the ball 75% of the time, but it's hardly what you would consider old school smashmouth football.

The three old-time quarterbacks to whom Tim Tebow is most often compared, Joe Kapp, Billy Kilmer and Bobby Douglass, are all big fans.

"He is a football player," said the 73-year old Kapp, a bulldog who led the Vikings into Super Bowl IV. "He's not what everybody wants or thinks a quarterback has to be. He's a football player. He's got his sleeves rolled up and he goes to work. He's fun to watch. Percentage passing? It seems to me, he's up in the fourth quarter, the one that counts."

Kapp, who still shares the NFL record with seven TD passes in one game, was asked if he sees any of himself in Tebow, especially in the way of leadership.

"I wouldn't even put myself in that category," he said. "This guy, from certain angles, looks like Superman, albeit left-handed. I thought Superman was right-handed but he looks left-handed."

"I pull for Tebow every day," said the 72-year-old Kilmer in an interview with the Denver Post.

Kilmer admitted he threw "knuckleballs." Still, his tough brand of leadership took the Redskins into Super Bowl VII. A single wing tailback at UCLA, Kilmer's 20 carries in a game with the 49ers stands as the modern record for QBs.

"I was similar to him in that everybody thought I was a runner and nobody thought I could pass," said Kilmer. "And I got labeled. And that's exactly what he's going through. I'm pulling for him 100 percent."

The now 64-year-old Douglass was one of the best running quarterbacks of all time but the Bears offense didn't allow for much running.

"He's pretty similar, probably very similar, to me," Douglass told the Chicago Tribune. "Not to sound egotistical but I think I was a little better passer. That's the No. 1 thing he has to become. He probably just needs to work on it. People are probably underestimating his ability to throw."

Tom Brady goes to heaven......

Tom Brady, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God

was showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded

Patriots flag in the window. "This house is yours for eternity Tom, said

God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here." Tom felt

special, indeed, and walked up to his house.

On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the

corner. It was a huge 3-story mansion with Orange and Blue sidewalks and

drive ways, a 50 foot tall flagpole with an enormous Broncos logo flag

waving, a swimming pool in shape of a horse, a Broncos logo in every

window, and a Tim Tebow jersey on the front door.

Tom looked at God and said "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I

have a question. I was an all-pro QB, I won 3 Super Bowls, and I even

went to the Hall of Fame."

God said "So what's your point Tom?"

"Well, why does Tim Tebow get a better house than me?"

God chuckled, and said "Tom, that's not Tim's house, it's mine."

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
