I've often wondered why more religious people don't seem to take issue with athletes invoking God in the context of a sporting event. It seems in poor taste. I know it can be a convenient way to express humility, but I find it very odd.

I would imagine Christians aren't complaing because he is a devout Christian on and off the field. He doesn't just turn it on when the cameras come out.

You don't watch football....what a miserable existence. :P

I'm not really a football fan either but I generally know whats going on in the world even if it's not a topic that interests me.

Tim Tebow is winning. That is more than can be said for most of the QB's out there. His being religious is also earning high praises. He is a good man. He was raised right. He is someone that can be a good role model for any kid growing up. There is a lot of positive attributes to the guy.

Thanks for bringing sanity to the table here, Tex.

Fact is, Tebow is doing well, and flying his positive beliefs in everyone's face, and that brings out the Crabs and the Haters.

Score Board, baby!

Just Win.

I learned to shoot skeet instead. Ski resorts are open! I will hit the slopes tomorrow and leave the football to you.

I guess our definitions of "whats going on in the world" are different. I am not aware of anything any NFL player is doing that would qualify as "whats going on in the world"

I'm guessing the "1" will likely be the Pats

As someone who is still getting used to the intricacies of the game called "football", but which mostly involves the hands, Tebow stands out for 2 main reasons:

1. He and his team are competitors who play the full 60 minutes, unlike some who fold when they're down. The Broncos have played very good 4th quarter ball and got results by doing so. Regardless of his technical qualities as a QB, his leadership and competitive spirit is without doubt and I hope he never lets that go.

2. He's still learning. Last week, he faced the Vikings, who were prepped for a run-based offence. He went to the air for the first time as a primary route and made it happen. He may play ugly, but he will get better, because, unlike some other college QB "stars", he puts in the work and learns. And, if he's winning ugly now, he'll still be winning when he improves.

As my first comment implies, I'm not a Broncos supporter. But good luck to Tim Tebow. I think he's good for the NFL.

With all the bad publicity some NFL players have given the league ...Vick comes to mind with a lot of others, it's nice to see someone who kids can look up to these days that doesn't have a rap sheet like Al Capone.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

You can just imagine the orgasms some would have if he were to "stumble".

Add another 'miracle' win for Tebow and the Broncos! But riddle me this, why does God hate the Bears in general, and Marion Barber in particular?
