Tim Tebow is winning. That is more than can be said for most of the QB's out there. His being religious is also earning high praises. He is a good man. He was raised right. He is someone that can be a good role model for any kid growing up. There is a lot of positive attributes to the guy.

I agree. That is why I think the OP is pretty stupid. Controversy for the sake of controversy.

Wouldn't you love that.

That picture that you posted of him in the OP, does look a bit like he is though. I'm sure he isn't, but that pic doesn't help.

I didn't think he would make it this long with the numbers he was putting up, but he threw for over 200 yards against the Viks last Sunday in Minnesota with two TD passes, no INT's and a QB rating of 150. He's making progress...it's slow but he's starting to get there.

Yes, he has been making strides each week. But there are two important points I think. First, he is playing in a gimmick offense. Just like the wildcat, and the speed/triple option, they were very succesful in college, because there is much more disparity in talent, and had some success in the NFL. Until it became an entire offense for a few teams, and defensive coordinators were forced to focus on it and come up with schemes to shut it down, which they did very succesfully. I think that will happen by the time the playoffs roll around. Secondly, he hasn't beaten any notable teams. Most of the teams they have beaten were with awesome defense (Von Miller is an absolute beast). The jury is still out, and I thing with the way the Raiders have imploded, Denver has a really good chance of making the playoffs. So we'll get to see how succesful he is against real teams.

I beg to differ...he plays old school smashmouth football. Ball control.

You may not be familiar with football, but the read option is a new offense. Yes they run the ball 75% of the time, but it's hardly what you would consider old school smashmouth football.

It may not be old school, but having watched most of the games, it's definitely smashmouth. I have seen a lot of analysts comparing what the Bronco's do to the single wing offense, so there may be some old school in there too. I guess that would be old old school.

Dude...you seem to be really prone to speaking without much thinking. It gives me the impression that you are pretty young...maybe the maturity of someone in their mid to late twenties who think they know more than they do and don't really realize how silly they sound when they try to sound superior. Especially in this case.

For one thing, the option is hardly new. It is as old as the hills. Just because you have not seen it run in the pros does not mean it is a new offense. Go look it up.

Another thing is I remember when the current style of football would be by your definition a 'gimmick' offense. I am talking about the development of the Air Coryell offense. I watched from the stands as Dan Fouts ran the predecessor to the 'West Coast' offense. I also watched when Larry Csonka ran the ball. I remember watching him draw the first and only unnecessary roughness penalty called on an running back with the football. When I see Tim stiffarm tacklers...I see old school.

I hope he lives near us. Of the Bronco players that I know live nearby, one was arrested for rape and another keeps having his home broken into by his mom's ex-bf. We could use less of that.

Well then don't move to Cincinnati. The Vikings only recently took over the top spot of "most players arrested" and we've only had two this year. Not bad for us.

Who the ** is Tim Tebow? I mean really, who is he? Someone I should know or be aware of?

Or what is a moral relativist? If I were to guess, I'd say it is someone who calls themselves Christian, but wouldn't show any compassion or empathy for a kid they hit with their car because the kid was jay-walking, and then use Scripture to justify their callousness.

Apparently they skimmed over the parable of the good Samaritan.

Denver has the Bears, the Pats,Bills, and Chiefs left. They can go 3-1 in their last four games if they don't make any mistakes...which they haven't been. Denver's coach doesn't think much of Tebow's style of play, Elway isn't all that high on him, but his teammates believe in him and after Orton they need this.

Fouts, Kellen Winslow, Charlie Joiner, and Chuck Muncie. That offense rocked. They could put up 30+ points a game every Sunday, but their defense gave up 31.

btw Czonka lives here in Alaska. He does a lot of local commercials in Anchorage.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I'm guessing the "1" will likely be the Pats

As someone who is still getting used to the intricacies of the game called "football", but which mostly involves the hands, Tebow stands out for 2 main reasons:

1. He and his team are competitors who play the full 60 minutes, unlike some who fold when they're down. The Broncos have played very good 4th quarter ball and got results by doing so. Regardless of his technical qualities as a QB, his leadership and competitive spirit is without doubt and I hope he never lets that go.

2. He's still learning. Last week, he faced the Vikings, who were prepped for a run-based offence. He went to the air for the first time as a primary route and made it happen. He may play ugly, but he will get better, because, unlike some other college QB "stars", he puts in the work and learns. And, if he's winning ugly now, he'll still be winning when he improves.

As my first comment implies, I'm not a Broncos supporter. But good luck to Tim Tebow. I think he's good for the NFL.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself
