I can be dirtier than anyone on VJ without using bad language - I let other people do that and then I just refer to it..

'Hoist by their own petard' is the expression

There's letters seal'd: and my two schoolfellows,

Whom I will trust as I will adders fang'd,

They bear the mandate; they must sweep my way

And marshal me to knavery. Let it work;

For 'tis the sport to have the enginer

Hoist with his own petar; and 't shall go hard

But I will delve one yard below their mines

And blow them at the moon: O, 'tis most sweet,

When in one line two crafts directly meet.

I think we found something we can agree on :P

You might as well be speakin' Greek. We have no idea who zhhukov is or why he matters....

Georgi Zhukov. Every FSU school child to this day knows who this man is. That you do not is a good indicator you are from a country where such ignorance is not likely to get 20 million people killed. Be happy.

Know one cares about Zhukov or the Russian army. Putin is fighting for his political life in the streets.

So tell us about the Chinese General now, maybe we will care....

Peace.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Anyway, getting back to the thread, I have been to Pearl Harbor the last 2 Februarys and I am going again in February. It's privatized now and the company makes huge money out of the Patriotic Americans who pay homage there

When one thinks of the size of the US military budget which is greater than that of all the countries in the world combined, you would think Americans would be allowed in there for 'free'

After all, it was their blood and their money that was spilled in the events there

How do you tell when the Union Jack is being flown in distress? I mean, for the Tricolor, it's easy...

white.flag.jpg

Its a secret - that's the point - its easy to see when the stars and stripes are upside down, but only a Brit would know if the Union Flag was upside down because we learned it at school

School ?

Oh dear our secret is out

Now all the ferriners have to do is to remember it..

Should Pearl Harbor be de-privatized and Americans be allowed in without charge ?

Or is everything for sale ?

Without Patton, Monty sits forever in Africa...

Answer me this, why was an American the allied supreme commander?

That's how it got negotiated, prior. We send you USA troops, but we get to be in charge. Otherwise, f off.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
