Last (hopefully( question before sending AOS

Hi everyone, a few last (hopefully) questions before I send off my AOS application:

1. On forms I-485, I-765, I-131 Part 1 where I need to write my address- am I supposed to put my actual residence address or is a PO Box alright? We can't receive mail at all to our house address so we always use our PO Box, would that be OK? or is there another section where I can fill in my mailing address?

2. On form I-485 part 1 where it says C/O? what am I supposed to write?

3. On the affidavit of support, I want to use my husbands parents as co-sponsor because my husband makes exactly the necessary income on the poverty guideline but on my visa interview it wasn't enough so I was very happy I had his parents co-sponsor me then.

What form do they need to fill out? they are married, live together and file their taxes together and we do not live in the same house??? Do they need the I-864 or the I-864A and do they need to both fill out a form or can they do one together?

4. It is taking the IRS forever to mail us the tax transcripts again and we got them to fax it over to us today, could we use the faxed copy instead if the mailed one?

Thanks for any help you can give us!

Whatever address you put down will be where they mail you receipts etc. I believe. I left C/O blank on my form. Your sponsors just have to fill out a 1-864, doesnt matter if they do not live with you, you have to fill out a 1-864 as the petitioner also. I believe faxed copies should be fine, but im not sure of that one, just as long as they can see all your tax info.

1. Your physical address goes into the address section (not PO Box)

2. This is where you could write the PO Box info.

3. Your in-laws would complete an I-864 (unless you live with them in which case it would be I-864A). Your husband would complete an I-864, one of your in-laws would complete the I-864. If their income alone isn't sufficient then the other in-laws income could be added if they complete an I-864A to go with their spouses I-864... if that makes sense.

4. Fax copies are fine. If they're a problem you'll get an RFE but you should have the mailed copies by then. I really really doubt there will be an issue.

Thanks,

So if you could clear that address problem again for me, because I know C/O means "in care of" so if the mail man needs to deliver a letter to my house and I'm not listed at the post office with that address he can deliver it if it has my husbands name under the C/O.

But I don;t think that's where I should put my mailing address. It's really important because we simply can't get mail delivered to our house so I want to make sure they know my mailing address (the PO Box.

Any ideas for that?

For example. Your name is Jane Smith. Your husband is John Smith. You live at 123 Lollipop Lane, Fairyland, Texas. Your mailing address is PO Box 123, Fairyland, Texas.

On the form you would write the STREET address as your physical address (that's why it says "Street number and name"). In the c/o you COULD write "John Smith, PO Box 123" but I would just put the PO Box.

Why haven't you added your name to the PO Box?? That's pretty simple to do. I, like you, cannot have street delivery. So I made sure my name (and my maiden name) were on the PO Box.
