Yes we are blessed with our loved ones. My husband and I filed our I-130 petition 2 years ago. During this whole 2 years he has never once said he was sorry he married me because of our rough visa journey. He always tell me how happy he is that I am his wife. He has even asked me to move to Pakistan if we don't get the visa.

His strength and courage has been a great example for me. I am blessed to have him in my life.

Just a post to let everyone on ap know that this isn't the end of the world. We all fell in love with our SO and have plans to be with them the rest of our lives. Just because its taking a bit longer is no reason to be so frustrated or upset with the embassy. Look at it this way, once everything is cleared then our SO comes, we can hold our heads high knowing we went thru the difficult struggles to overcome obstacles to get them here and we did it the right way.

There is no amount of time that will drain my love for my husband... in fact the opposite is true... I seem to fall in love deeper every day with this man. We do struggle, I cry myself to sleep some nights, I can't stop thinking about this process and how much we are enduring to be able to live our life together. But what we do is we find a way to make our lives as normal as possible for what it is.

My laptop is on from the time i get home in the evening until we leave for work in the morning. I cook dinner, help the girls with homework, do housework, laundry and even watch movies online. Some days we have to have a discussion with the girls about their grades, their arguments with eachother etc so we also parent together. Everything we are doing now is going to be moved into our real life soon. Even tho he isn't here yet, he IS here online and part of our family on a daily basis.

We have made our marriage strong, we work on our communication and for us, that is one of the most important parts of our marriage.. being able to communicate openly and lovingly.

So for everyone out there on AP, whether it's from a MENA country or Canada, or the Philippines... it doesn't matter where your from... just remember that AP is simply a procedure and it will end. We will be with our loved ones.. this isn't the end... think of it as a little extra time to prepare for their arrival and remember God doesn't let us find our soul mate to live without.. He is preparing our path, our way for a good life and happy marriage....

Our happily ever after IS coming... just a matter of time!!!!! DON'T LOSE FAITH... STAY STRONG AND STAY IN LOVE!!!!!!

  (L) (L) (L)

Well said sis and I applaud your optimism! I'm waiting for NOA2 and I say "I'm" because my husband already has the skills and temperament it takes to go through this. Everyday I learn something from him, this site, or reflect on things I can do to make me a better person. I see this as God saying, "Ok, I removed the loneliness, I gave you a complete man (someone strong enough to deal with your foolishness), I've given you a glimpse of what your kids will look like, but to complete the blessing you must put in work."

I wish everyone a successful journey!

It is standard procedure to be placed in AP for ES embassy. Can be anywhere from 2 weeks, 2 months, to 2 years. Really hoping for 2 weeks, with realistic expectations of two months (average). Its only been one week and we won't know we're out of AP until DHS sends notice they received the waiver. The wait is hard, the days are going by slowly and there is no way to check status. Hoping everyone survives this torture.

My husband had his interview on october 5th. Co said everything was fine and he kept his passport. He also gave him a ticket which has a number on it and tell him to wait for a call to pick up his visa. It has been 2 months now since he is waiting. Everytime I call they said the case is under administrative processing. Is there anything I can do? Please any advice will be appreciated.

Also the other people who get their visa's without any problems don't care about us either.

not true. at least not of me. i do care.

its a pretty awful thing to have to endure. but those who do endure, earn a strength that empowers their marriage.

Your right about that... I'm very blessed that my husband loves to talk so we spend many nights talking only to realize we went wayy past a good time to go to bed LOL but our marriage is increasing daily with our love and respect and LOTS of communication... we never run out of things to talk about and for all of this ap.. as hard as it is i know our marriage is strong and we will get past this one day...

n btw.. thanks for thinking of all of us who are enduring such hardship!

Hopefully your ap won't last too long. I'm glad not all AP does but at the same time (selfish I know,) Wishing ours would end... Dec 15th will be 6 months and CArolyn has been there far longer! :(
