And Algebra is the national language of Algeria, see man!

The thick plottens. Buddy informs me that he called two independent shops; one recommends the Kelly Explorer Plus flatly, and the other says it's a better tire than the Cooper. Second shop undercut everyone else's price. Buddy is, uh, thrifty (when he gets a $10 bill, he folds it up so tightly that Alexander Hamilton gets ingrown whiskers), so this may tip the scales back to the Kelly. Good grief, man.

If he's that cheap and he won't have to drive in lousy weather then he should get used tires with a decent amount of thread left, right and centre as well. What kind of chariot does your friend operate? Is he planning to climb Pike's Peak or what? Try to but a Burr in his saddle so that he'll part with his Hamilton. I wouldn't get Kelly Explorer Plus flatly, what good is a tire if it won't hold air, it's all about P, man!

Ask him to check out his dealship too. Sometimes they have really good deals. I just bought a set of 4 Hankook high performance run-flats from the dealership. The dealership had a buy 3 get 1 free sale, plus there was a manufacturers rebate. So I ended up paying around $300 which was more than 50% of the regular price.

What kind of car do you have?

My car came with run-flats & I kick myself in the butt for not getting rid of them asap & putting regular tires on. Reallllly don't like run-flats.

As soon as I'm done with these, Michelin regular tires it will be in the summer, Blizzaks are on (right now) during the winter.

I calculate that this is a most Revolutionary set of puns of which no one will tire, si man & no man.
My moped
Sorry that it was moping; I hope that it cheers up soon, glee man.

I was talking to my own service advisor, whom I trust unconditionally, at the best dealership in town today about other matters, and asked him about the comparison between Cooper & Kelly tires. Without elaboration, he said "They're both good tires."

Should this thread continue (it's rather fun, albeit without resolution yet), I would like for us to switch to the British spelling "tyres," verily wot man. We've been talking like mere Colonists.

Perhaps then your friend should consider Continental tires, one if by land two if by si, man!

Unless it's MRSE, man!

But a car has four tires, what about the tires on wheels four and three, man!

We do indeed have resolution, it's 1024 by 768. This thread is guaranteed for at least 60,000 posts or 6 years, that's a helluva guarantee, man! As for Tyre, leave discussions of that to the people of Lebanon. We should speak like the French? Should we refer to them using Francais, that would be pneus-worthy.

I have 2 roadsters (Z4 and a Miata). Both of them are not big enough to carry a spare, just enough room to carry a small air compressor and a tire patch kit. So I would definitely need run-flats to get off the freeway before trying to patch the tire if I got a flat. Also I live in Texas, so I really have no need for winter tires

Why dont you like run-flats?

I was tired yesterday and am tired again today, so that makes me re-tired, si man.

The thick plottens yet further: My buddy visited Sears in person and learned that among closeout tyres on sale are some General AltiMAX for $79.97 ea. Film at 11, see man.

My Z3 roadster had a good spare. Did you look in the trunk under the bottom? You can pull out the cover and it should be under it.blink.gif
