How long does it take NVC to schedule the interview? NVC completed the Case on Nov21st 2011

Hello -

I wanted to hear from anyone who is going through the CR1 or have completed it recently. NVC completed my case on Nov 21st and they said that December is packed and they were not able to schedule an interview call at the Mumbai embassy.

I wanted to know how long does it usually take to get the interview scheduled. If any of you went through this recently would love to hear about their case.

On VJ, recently I saw someone, his NVC case was completed dated Oct 26th, and still waiting for interview in Mumbai.

Not sure what is going on. Since they have made some major changes in their new office. Like they are going to accept South application in Mumbai and closing the Chennai office for IV interview.

If it is the case, then now there would be only two IV interview center in India - Delhi & Mumbai.

Today I am planning to call to Mumbai IV call center to check whats going on.

Mine was closed on October. My interview in march.

Hi There,

You can alternately check for the Interview dates on the Mumbai US Consulate website.

Visas to US ----- Immigrant Visas----- Interview Appointment Schedule (On the Left hand corner)

The list is usually put up by 15th of the previous month, so for Jan 2012, you can expect to see the list by end of next week or the week beginning 19 tops.

I am still waiting to check the status of my case at NVC. Not sure how to apart from calling them.
