Got a K-1 filer friend in CA who was told to leave playing a slot machine because "Minor isn't allowed". She was asked to show an ID but she didn't bring any at that moment.

I am typical short, lean and baby faced looking Asian. In the Philippines, I am thought to be 20 (I'm actually 28) but not as a minor.

Do you have to always bring ID with you? What kind of ID's they accept when you're just new in the area?

I remember one time, when I got my first job, I was trying to comply all the requirements and one of those is the police clearance. When I was at the police station, one cop told me oh we're not going to give u a certificate as you are minor, and I told him no I'm not I am actually 21, he asked me an ID but I said I didn't bring luckily my uncle was with me so he explained everything and finally I got it.  . Now I am 28 but still look 20.

I get age mistaken a lot, I think the worst was when I was in an airport and was pulled over to the side and told that i'm not allowed to be at the airport alone as a minor. I handed them my passport and just stood there until they realized i'm in my late 20tys.

Always have on me my drivers license, military spousal ID and before I had either of thos I would bring my passport and foreign drivers license with me places.

Me too. I have a brother who's 4 yrs younger than I am, people always ask us who's the older one. My friend got another friend in Facebook who shared the same experience whenever she needs to buy a liquor.

You must be Caucasian looking. Usually they are taller. Elle Fanning looks 25 but she's only 13? You must be very young looking.

It can be flattering and kinda insulting at times. Maybe I'll appreciate this when I reach my 50's.

Yeah, you'll appreciate it when you reach your 50s  . I've always been taken to be significantly younger than my actual age. I don't mind it now at all that I am actually in my 50s but still get mistaken for about 15 year younger. It is partially genetic in my case - I remember when my brother and I were in public school, my Mom often answering the door and the person there asking to speak to her 'mother' . Enjoy it! :)

lol I'm not married, but I'm 28 and often mistaken for being a teenager (I'm filipino too).

I have my ID/Driver's license with me at all times. It suffices. If you're new to the area, you can also carry your passport or any forms of ID from your home country. :)

The lovely Kathryn will remain young-looking indefinitely, si man.

Here is the actual algebra, si man: Women are their actual age until they're 29. Then, they're 29 until they're 60, and then they're 39 until Whenever.

ETA: Mrs. T-B. routinely claims that she's 28 years old, and on one of our trips to Mexico, she claimed that she was 20 (!). The guy with whom we were talking temporarily looked startled but didn't dispute the claim, no man.

I don't married yet but I can relate to your story.tongue.gif. I am only 4'10" , yeah typically like yours. That's why I've dated many younger guys from the past because they did mistakenly think I was younger than them. I went to some event before, they did not ask my ID but they had grouped me with teenagers.rofl.gif. As far as I remember, no one can ever guess my age so far based to my appearance and my face. God bless small girls!laughing.gif

I don't like to be told i look younger than my actual age.Nobody ever really guesses my actual age correctly.I'm always been confused/mistaken to be a teenage, been told i look like am 16 some times younger (just about anywhere in teens),when am actually now 25 years old (5ft 3inches of slim/petite built).so because of that most times on public transportation especially taking the bus, conductors always charge me the teenager fee.so i always ended up paying less
