hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well. 4 days until the wedding.... and someone won on HYY today.....yes I am a a fan of HYY now. hehe. Lots of planning going on. got the prayer garden, minister, wedding dress, photographer, video, tables and chairs for the house, ordered some food from jeepney bistro and streets of new york. Working on getting wedding cake. scheduling hair appointment for fiancee. Still need to look at what tie, and cumberbund I need. see if I still have my suspenders for my tux (glad I own one.) Got the wedding license. don't know how many people are showing up.... maybe a few and maybe a lot. just have to order the Italian food and wedding cake. Gotta get the wedding cake order in today or tomorrow.

Nothing like procrastinating.... but a lot has been done.... just a simple wedding ..... very very simple....

Congrats.. All that last minute planning really gets the teeth grinding! I distinctly remember taking off my marriage garments after the day was done and getting my street clothes on - and feeling sheer relief that I had made it through - it felt so good to have it done.

four days.... fun!

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

for those that want to come, send me a pm and I will tell you. Posting online is like broadcasting for an event of magnamous proportions. I know Filipinos... tell one, and a hundred attend. Not a big deal, but I don't think I have enough food for over 100. the cake is onl 3 tier, 12", 8", and 4" I have enough chairs for 60 people. My house can handle more outside (large yard), but... at 60F don't think many would want to be outside. Also, hooking up computer to TV so people can sit, chat and talk with others in the USA and in the philipines. Still looking on how to do a webcast instead of video chats....Maid of Honor.. none, Best Man... none. Bachelor party... none. (didn't even have one at my first wedding.

Left to do: rug doctor to clean carpets, cumberbund and tie. shoes for her, dinnerware, dessertware, drinks, champagne for toast. ice... lots of ice. Set up Friday evening. Decorations. Connecting PC to projector and sound system, firewood... for heating the area of the house. save power when the doors open and close a lot.

Next week... rent a rug doctor again, to clean carpets......

Congrats bro!

We are going to have a simple, civil marriage as well. I find the whole 3 month deadline to get married unreasonable, especially for couples who must put on traditional marriage customs. 3 months just seems too short to plan something that suppose to be memorable for the rest of your life. Imagine in 3 months, you are suppose to get your SSnumber, marriage license, adjust to a new culture and life, get married, and file for AOS. They really did not thought of working class people who have to work all weekday long and trying to get days off from work to achieve all this in such a short time is nearly impossible.

K1 Visa should be changed to 6 months to enter US, and 6 months to get married or leave the US. I don't know who thought of 3 months. Must of been a single guy who thought that up.
