Yeah from a top rated seller. He said that I am the most expensive p**** but a cheapest date he ever had. I am worth the buy over a period of time. nothing goes to waste with me: chicken and fish head, to the last drop of shampoo and toothpaste, plastic bags it's all used up!

Hahaahhhaa! The Adobo I can handle. The Fish heads I can adapt to. There is nothing more pretty than a Pinay except another Pinay... I'm in trouble now....

I never felt that way at all - I sold everything I owned at wholesale bargain basement prices, quit my job, and moved to the Philippines just to be with her, then got married and had a beautiful baby boy. I don't regret a single minute, or miss a single thing I used to own back home (ok, maybe the Harley just a little). The point is, I love her more than any material thing in this world. Things are easily replaced, true love comes but once. I never did care about money, it's just a necessary evil. It's time to go back now, we have a son and I want all the best opportunity's for him, so this chapter of our lives is coming to a close. I look forward to the next.

That was my point when I started the Topic. You will do anything to be with her. Sell your property below value, pay all these Fees. I know a person who gave away his home because he said : I don't need it anymore. He did'nt want the bother, he was to focused on her.

But, don't tell me that Country has'nt sucked you blind for your decisions. They seen you coming and tell me you have'nt paid the price. I know your paying a Fee just to stay there. So Please. You paid for your relationship and still are. That was the Topic and my point but it is Normal.

I'm Jelous, I would love to go live with there. LOL

I think the reason here why most American men feels like that is because all the financial responsibility is on their shoulder. If the guy no longer send money via money gram/xoom or western union regularly, female pays for all the paper work: visa, medical and the airline, it would be like a normal long distance courtship. But yeah, this is a 3rd world country. Expect that. You want a woman to marry, open your wallet.

Happy New Year!

Meeting online over 4 years ago just on My-Space. I feel in love with Mav. Never heard of immigration before. I proposed and and started to look things up. Not a Simple Plane flight.

I only heard of a Passport on 007 Movies. So I bought one.. Next a $1,500.00 Plane Fee. Next transportation. This Fee and that Fee. Then Pay for this and for that. And they can say No unless you have the Money.

A woman is FREE in the US and might even come with a Coupon. Buy one night get the next one Free. That is not me.

I guess what I mean is: Did you ever realize all this ####### to Immigration? Its like buying a person. You don't own that person but you love them and will do anything.

On Average: $8,000.00 from start to finish with Peitions with no problems.

So, Vote: Did you buy Love. I'm doing it. Guilty but thats the Law.

My husband always says that "you are very expensive honey, but you are worth every cent" :D

Does it feel like you had to "buy" your Spouse ?

Nope. Not at all. I didn't when I married and petitioned my first Filipina wife (Married her in the Phils then petitioned her on IR VISA). Don't now with my current fiancee, Ritchie. I guess if I did ever feel that way with my first Filipina wife I would not have a current Filipina fiancee. Feeling like I "bought" someone would not set well with me. I've never felt that with either my ex or my fiancee. I never even thought about it until reading this topic.

I have felt however, that I just "bought" something after dating many American women! Not all, but many. I'll pay process expenses and airfare travel to the Phils for a Filipina's VISA any day of the week and twice on Sunday versus the alternatives.

10/17/2008 - First Contact via message in CB

03/15/2009 - Engaged

05/15/2009 - First meeting in person (I traveled to Philippines)

10/05/2010 - Sent I-129F package to Fiancee VISA service for review and forwarding

12/08/2011 - Interview - Approved!

12/20/2011 - VISA in hand! (Never showed up in 2go online tracking!)

01/04/2012 - POE San Francisco(SFO)I met her there.

01/05/2012 - We're Home!

02/14/2012 - Married Valentine's Day 2012!

05/04/2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP packages via FedEx ground

07/26/2012 - EAD/AP Combo card received

Not just men. But the American citizen in general. ... as I am female.

And ... mmmm ... nah, I don't feel like I'm "buying" him. When people ask me why I'm not having a big wedding, I just tell people: "USCIS robbed me of it just to get him here." lol

As reported elsewhere:

A few weeks ago, Mrs. T-B. announced, "I bought you cheap."

I said, "What?"

"I bought you cheap!"

"You did WHAT?"

"Cheap, CHEAP! I bought you CHEAP!"

Upon further investigation, it turned out that Mrs. T-B. had been to the supermarket and bought me a bag of potato cheaps, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
