Hi friends,

I am wondering how long it takes the time to NVC to complete the case once they have received the DS-230, my complete IV Package. I called to IVR and they said that they have received the checklist doc on Dec 5th, 2011.

My AOS was already sent on Nov 15th.

Thank you!

If you have no RFE's... It's around 2 weeks.

Two weeks is a good estimate but NVC doesn't approve DS230 forms. That's the visa application. It can only be "approved" by a Consular Officer after an interview takes place. NVC is just a clearing house to get the paperwork in order before forwarding to the Consulate.

Do we get update from AVR system when packet IV is delivered in NVC?

Their IVR system gives update whenever they scan the package.

For example: I sent my package on Nov 30th thru Fedex, and it was delivered next day on Dec 1st by afternoon, but they scanned my package on Dec 5th.

i also feel it varies from case to case...my packet was delivered to NVC on nov 28. 2011 and my case was complete on dec 1, 2011...also our AOS packet was also approved within 3 days after it got delivered...i say u call NVC asap and talk to a human...am sure they will give u some info abt it....but mind you...the delivery confirmation by the courier service is the only confirmation u will get that ur packet has been received...the operator wont even tell u if they have started reviewing it..I used to call everyday just to see if they had started reviewing my packet..But evertime the lady used to say that only once the review was complete that they would know abt it...as its a different section that deals with this...Anyways once i called back on Dec 1..they said my case was complete...so call NVC fast...
