Hello all, I would really appreciate it is someone could help me in this predicament me and my wife are in. She has her visa appointment this Thursday, she scheduled her biometrics appointment on Wednesday and she was going to have her medical appointment done on Tuesday. Her flight was leaving tonight until it got cancelled because.....get this.....it's snowing in Juarez. Her flight was cancelled because its snowing in Mexico, what are the odds? And the next flight out to Juarez is on Wednesday which is too late. Anyway, she is now taking a bus with a group of other people (who were going to be on that same flight for their visa appointments) and are about to be on their way to Juarez. The only problem is that she wont get there until tomorrow evening/night. I was under the impression this whole time that it is mandatory to schedule your medical appointment at least 2 days before your visa appointment but everyone else in the group had their medical appointments scheduled for Wednesday, the day before the interview. Is that correct? Can you have your medical appointment the day before? I thought that the tuberculosis test needed a couple days to process but everyones telling me the day before is fine. I mean we don't have a choice now, she's on her way to try to make it work but could somebody please shed some light on this for me? I would really appreciate it and would be able to rest a lot easier if i knew for sure.

You guys will be fine. Looking over the instructions from the consulate's website, it says "we suggest that you make arrangements for your medical examination at least ONE or TWO days prior to your appointment date", and you're one day prior.

My wife did her interview in Juarez about a month ago. She was scheduled for a Tuesday morning appointment at the consulate, so Monday morning was the only time she could do her medical -- unless she wanted to spend all weekend in Juarez (which she of course did not). She didn't have any trouble doing it only 1 day prior to the CR1 interview. She went early Monday morning, had her exam, and then went back in the afternoon to pick up a sealed packet of results to take to the consulate on the following day. Nice and smooth.

Here are the instructions if you haven't seen them already, but it's all pretty straightforward.

Good luck! Should be nice and smooth.
