Waiting for EAD and Travel applications

Hi, looks like this whole AOS forum has gotten re-organized!

We mailed our AOS/EAD/Travel apps on October 1st, and had several posts around that time, with plenty of helpful responses...

The AOS portion generated a NOA with a scheduling of the Biometrics appointment -- I assumed this was really good news, meaning no additional requests for info, etc.

BUT, we have had heard nothing about the EAD or Travel applications -- I know these are handled separately from the AOS. How can we track where they are in the process? Do these usually take longer or shorter time?

thanks for any helpful words again...

Your timeline shows your bio appt is scheduled for Dec. 7th. Your EAD/AP card will not be approved until after your biometrics, and usually takes 2-3 months from time of filing. The EAD/AP card is generally approved and received before the green card, but occasionally it is only approved right before or after, when it is no longer needed. You can check the status of them on the same USCIS status page where you tracked the 129-F and now the I-485, though the status updates on their website can be iffy and unreliable.

Having a notice of action does not mean that you will not get an RFE.

You can get an RFE at any point in the process and you can even be handed an RFE at or after an AOS interview.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.
