Dear VJ members :)

We had our interview today and thanks to Allah and to all the folks on here that helped me through this, we got our approval!!

I'd like to go through the interview we had to benefit others:

We arrived 15 minutes early and the IO came out and called in my husband alone and I waited outside. After about 10 minutes, he called me in. After swearing me in, he asked me for my identification so I handed him my passport. He then asked me my address and how I liked living in Maine. I responded that it was nice and peaceful, so he joked and said as opposed to living in Jordan and I said yes :) After that he asked me how and when we met, I answered with how and the date. My husband was off by a year lol, he said 2009 when it was actually 2010. The IO was very nice and joked about my husband getting it wrong. Then he asked me why I chose Maine, I said because my husband lives here, he laughed :) After that he went through the I-864 and asked me all the questions on there. He asked me if I had any children I said no, he asked me if my husband does, I said yes. He asked me if I wanted children I said yes. IO: How many? 1 or 2 (he asked my husband the same question). Finally he asked me what I had for evidence, I showed him our pictures, cards, gifts, a text, life insurance policy, joint bank account,tickets etc. He went through the whole album of pictures. He also asked my husband what would it mean to him if he were to deny me (this was before I was called in), my husband said that it would crush his hopes and dreams :( The IO responded that it wasn't a sure thing and my husband said he understood.

After we were done with the interview, he said we were all set and that I should expect my card in the mail within 30 days.

Thank you all! I forgot to mention that he also asked me if I want to change my name to my husband's, I said I do..he said why haven't you already and we answered that we weren't sure whether this was going to affect the process and didn't want to do it until we got through our AOS.

Thanks Harpa :) I don't know why he called him in alone, I was surprised too. Sometimes they do that to compare answers and in my case he asked me some of the same questions and some additional ones. I wrote down what they asked him.
