How much longer for 1-130 approvals from July?!!!!

My priority date is July 26th 2011. its been 4 months and a week!!! My USCIS office is at the California Service Center. Why are they taking sooooo long?!?!? Before they had the approvals in by this time! Is it cuz of the holidays??

My NOA1 is June 8, 2011. It reaches 6 months in 2 more days but still hear nothing.

I am guessing they will start on July by mid Dec. So we can expect to get approvals by Dec ending and troughout Jan. And this is me being optimistic. Worst case scenario Feb or March.

Does anyone know why they are taking SOOOO long?!?! I mean i see people from June getting approved by November but then NOTHING!!!!! Its like the July files went to a black hole! I would love to know at least if im getiing approved til March so i can enroll in the spring semester at college, but i cant because i dont know when theyre approving me, this is such a waste of time...

I am now on NVC point but I know how you feel. I felt the same way before my NOA2 approval. I didnt know what to expect, no plan for career and I was just only waiting on NOA2 so after almost 5 months, the time that I was about to give up on waiting. We received the approval by email.

So we believe that there's always hope.... Don't give up guys.

Anyway, I want the whole process to be shorther since it takes such a long time and this's killing my brain.

I hope we hear soon too as we are planning a big wedding May 5th, 2012. Does anyone know if my Canadian husband will be allowed to enter the US while the I-130 is in process?, worse case senario?

You're extremely fortunate in that we share a land boarder with Canada and they can't just prevent him from getting on a plane. Also, being Canada instead of the many far less fortunate countries, they'll likely let him come across whenever you like.

In short, you can likely see each other whenever time and money allows.

Make sure he brings documents showing ties to Canada (apartment lease, letter from employer, return plane ticket, etc.) so it's clear that he doesn't intend to come across and stay. My husband has been hassled nearly every time he has crossed into the US since we started the I-130 process. He has been driving across lately, so they make him get out and they search the car to see if he's bringing enough luggage to be considered moving.

Otherwise, we're in the same boat: no news. Contacting my US Representative did nothing for us, and I'll be calling USCIS to complain in one week when we pass the 5 month mark.
