Dont be get too much optimistic. If you look at last feb vb it was one year retrogression. I will be happy even it will move one week or so.

dont worry friends.....now retrogession cannot happen in f2a bcaz we are constantly watching that all our fellow members whose pd before cutoff date had got their interviews.....so just be relax and be a little positive..... feb 2012 will move 1 month to 1.5 months but i am sure we will see some kind of surprise at the jun or july 2012 vb onwards .....hoping for the best...

Hello All,

I hope everyone is doing great. I have this issue and I wanted to discuss it with everyone here.

I am going to give an interview for a company that is located in UK so I would be requiring a work permit visa for that. Suppose, if I get the job and if I get the work permit visa; would it effect my visa porcessing for US? My PD is August 5,2010 and case completed in April 2011. Can I move to UK on work permit visa if I have an immigration application for US already in progess?

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Working visa in UK, i.e. Non-Immigrant visa

Whether it is UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan etc etc country you are free to apply for Immigrant visa as well.

There is nothing related to US with all these.

Yes, sure go ahead for UK working visa, one can apply immigrant visa to many countries at the same time, ur not PR of US yet therefore do watever u like to do. During ur interview for US greencard, they might ask and u explain the truth which is not at all related to any law of US.

Bottom Line: You can apply to any country for ANY Visa (Immigrant & Non-Immigrant) nothin gonna happen to ur IV petition.

I have seen some cases where applicants from India waiting for their IV petition to be current in canada and australia where they work on work visa (Non-Immigrant) and moreover on that they also applied in those countries immigration system as well for a bad day(If smthing bad happnd to their US petition on a safer side).

So should I send my DS packet again if I move to UK on a work permit visa to NVC that updates my change of address? An online lawyer has suggested me to do so.

Thanks,

yes...you are absolutely right about adjustment of status cases are handled by uscis but in f2a a person can adjust his or her status only if his case is current and not waiting for pd to be current.....so i think the number should not be huge or equalant to foreign post applicant.....

and visa waiting list it is written that the cases of AOS which are pending at the uscis are not included in the waiting list.....but i really doubt about the data provided by DOS....it shows 2500000 visa waiting for f4....and which is comfertably advancing 1 month (which has only 64000 visa capacity) and f2a which shows 320000 visa waiting(88000 visa capacity) advances only 1.25 month max....I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND THIS....SO I HIGHLY DOUBT THE DOS DATA...

dont worry friends.....now retrogession cannot happen in f2a bcaz we are constantly watching that all our fellow members whose pd before cutoff date had got their interviews.....so just be relax and be a little positive..... feb 2012 will move 1 month to 1.5 months but i am sure we will see some kind of surprise at the jun or july 2012 vb onwards .....hoping for the best...

:ot:

Don't believe JHP, neither he predicted the earlier retrogression nor he works for NVC/DOS..he only has grudge against F4 Visa Filers...

sorry friend....i never opposed f4 or any kind of other visas....i just wanted to tell that visas should be issued as authorised by the law (not ur or mine but usa laws)....and if any visas of f2a had been transfered to other categories inspite of waiting in the f2a( as we all can see waiting list),its not fair....and it is truth that f2a visas was being transfered to other categories inspite of waiting in f2a....for proof u can watch the issued visas in earlier years at travel.state.gov

Now judge urself who is fair and who is unfair.....

Yes, indeed a good news!

Looks like PD will jump to July 2009.

My PD is May 10, 2009.

Thank God!

Anyway, did your lawyer requested to expidite your case? Just wondering why it was forwarded to local embassy instead of getting Interview Schedule.

Good news Kishore. Does that mean we can see a reasonable jump this time?

One thing is sure that USCIS is not issuing visas in F2a category to the maximum allotted number per year. It's no surprise that they are not using the count that was allotted to f2a. That's the reason for the delay and our struggle.

I believe your lawyer was requested for expedite the case processing. According to standard immigration procedure, after case completion dos/ nvc has to wait for consulate monthly data receive make interview slot availability. In this case could be consideration if applicant eligible for humanitarian grant situation.

You will be true if some ones pd earlier than your has the same thing happens.

Please confirm us if someone has same happened like kishorev1 got.

APPROVED
