We have seen last month interviews being given beyond April 22nd 2009. We have seen an instance in foro of univision where one person got interview for April 28th, 2009. Not sure what would be outcome of these interviews; would they take interview and only issue visa when the PD is current ... or does this have to do with PD will be fast is coming months [highly doubt it]...Lets wait and see in next VB..

Absolutely Wrong.

Annual Waiting Report doesnt show the true picture where it exempts the cases which are subject to Adjustment of Status, which according to ur logic of one year = 88,000 numbers gt failed. Annual Waiting list submitted by NVC comprising only IV petitions, whereas Adjustment of Status cases are with USCIS and those cases also consumed the same budgeted quota of 88,000 numbers, basically there are two types of applicants:

Adjustment of Status whose petitions are with USCIS itself and second procedure is of IV and the petitions are with NVC.

While analyzing dnt forget considering the Adjust. of Status cases into an account for approximations....

yes...you are absolutely right about adjustment of status cases are handled by uscis but in f2a a person can adjust his or her status only if his case is current and not waiting for pd to be current.....so i think the number should not be huge or equalant to foreign post applicant.....

and visa waiting list it is written that the cases of AOS which are pending at the uscis are not included in the waiting list.....but i really doubt about the data provided by DOS....it shows 2500000 visa waiting for f4....and which is comfertably advancing 1 month (which has only 64000 visa capacity) and f2a which shows 320000 visa waiting(88000 visa capacity) advances only 1.25 month max....I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND THIS....SO I HIGHLY DOUBT THE DOS DATA...

really i dont understand how that ???

his pd 5 july 2009 & had interviwe 4 jan 2011 & VB now 22 april :blink::blink:

that is because last year, VB was moving so fast, so that by dec 2010, the PDs were for August 2010 for most countries. and so, many of us had interviews already, but then the horrible retrogression occurred, setting back the PDs 2 years. I am surprised to see though that even though zubi already had her visa interview, she was still affected by the retrogression. my wife's case was documentarily qualified on Dec 2010. Now only waiting for interview.

PD March 5, 2010.

Two years ago in 2009 one has to wait for his/her PD to be current before docs preparation, AOS, and IV fees are paid, and then the interview process begins... The rapid advancement of PDs last year seems to be a scheme to introduce a new system of processing immigrant petitions; henceforth, a few months after a visa petition is filed, and approved, they right away ask for your documents, and so forth all the way until the payment of IV fees. And then one has to wait for the PD to be current to get a schedule for the interview.

Does anyone of you guys have an idea on how soon the immigrant visas are awarded to successful interviewees? Are they given soon after the interview has been completed, or is there another waiting time involved? Thanks.

PD March 5, 2010.
