Hi. I can't seem to find the NOA2 for my (now) wife's I-129f approval. I don't recall ever seeing it, in fact. How critical is it that it be included in the AOS packet I send to USCIS? The I-824 filing fee ($405) is pretty steep, especially when combined with the I-485 fee, I-765 fee and I-131 fee.

Thanks.

Peace... Sridhar

The fee for AOS is $1070. The fees for EAD and AP are waived when filed together with AOS so the amount you're paying is $1070.

The NOA2 would have been mailed to you telling you that the petition was approved before the file was forwarded to her country for the visa application. It is VERY important that you send the NOA2. Sometimes though they will also accept the letter from NVC that has her home countries file number.

If you can't find either then you will need to file for the NOA2 and pay the fee. I suggest you look REALLY hard. I'm sure you put the incredibly important documents relating to you fiancee (now wife's) immigration process somewhere very safe as you should have.

Phew. You were right. It was in a safe place... Unopened. That's why I had never seen it.

Thanks for replying. :)

Fabulous!! Make a folder of all the important documents because you'll want them in easy reach if you have an AOS interview, and also for ROC and naturlization if she goes there.
