I have my police certificates, birth certificate and marriage certificate. The NVC says that I should send the original copies to them with my Immigrant Visa Application form but I also noticed that in the VisaJourney guide that I need these original documetns for my interview at the US embassy. Should I send photocopies of these documents to the NVC and keep the originals for the interview?

You must need to send Original Required Documents.

They mentioned that you can even send the certified attested, but some of people reported that they like original better instead of certified attested. So better to send original one. They will return you at the time of interview.

In fact, you should have two copies or more for these original certificate.

For my case, I asked for 5 original copies of marriage certificate, because we dont know where we may need to use this and that.

For Birth certificate, I asked 3 original copies

For PCC, I asked for 2 original copies.

So even I send 1 copy of each original and I still have original copies with me.
