"Your Case EAC_____________ is now updated. Check "My Case Status" at www.uscis.gov

Did everyone receive a text message at 1:30 a.m. this morning from uscis? after their website has been down for the past three days for maintenance, or such?

The scary part is: Still, nothing comes up, when I dial up that site.

What's up?

Anyone else get the message?

Are you able to get on the website yet?

07/27/2011...........NOA1 received.

12/05/2011...........RFE received.

12/13/2011...........RFE response sent.

12/16/2011...........RFE RESPONSE received by Vermont S.C.

12/22/2011...........Teased by a text-message from uscis, saying they have received my response to the RFE.

12/30/2011...........LA VISA APROVADOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

01/12/2012...........Case Sent To Bogota Colombia, from the National Visa Center.

02/09/2012...........Schedule Interview.

03/23/2012...........Interview (to take place then)!

04/07/2012...........Arrived in USA.

I still can't get on the website, but.... e-mail this morning also reveals a letter sent for the dreaded RFE.

Okay.... I'm guessin'... they want phone records, which I've stated before here, I did not include, because only 3 months of records are available from my international phone calling card company.

Guess I will receive the HARD COPY, maybe in the mail today.

ON! WITH THE 'JOURNEY'!

No, Stefan,.... I can't bring the website up on the computer.

I saw this morning, I was having some trouble with my ISP, but now all other pages come up, but not the uscis website.

I'd appreciate, if others could comment, if you are able to log on there or not.

I just figured it was still down, from the weekend of repairs, no?

Remember, it was down over the weekend, since last Thursday, I believe.

I don't think it matters alot, if I can get on the site,... I think it's just going to say that the hard copy will be in the mail.... Well, they mailed it on Dec 2, so... nothing today, I'll expect it tomorrow.

In the mean time,.... Just Another Day in Paradise :innocent:

The positive point is that.... something is being done, and if it's nothing too much with the RFE, then... A decision soon after addressing whatever matter they have come up with.

Okay, I finally got on the website.

It was NOT coming up, with the OLD "http:" that was showing up in the drop box below my url line.

But, RATHER.... I had to type in the 'www.uscis.gov'... then the site comes up.

Well, well... nice to see at least, after waiting that something changed on the status of the case.

Their request is for "initial evidence", as opposed to "further evidence".

I'm guessing then,... something I forgot to include (or, perhaps they lost) in the line of the legal documentation.

Maybe in my haste, I left something out.

Any other commentary, on the differences between 'initial evidence' vs. 'further evidence'?

yes, the e-mail is an exact re-iteration of what is printed on the 'check status' page of uscis.com, with request for 'initial evidence'.

Hope to get hard copy in snail mail on Tuesday.

We'll see, then.
