So if China is "killing our solar power industry" - presumably by subsidizing it - wouldn't it be smarter for us to take advantage of *their* subsidies (their tax yuans), rather than our own subsidies (our tax dollars)?

You are quite right Gary. Everything that built this our economy into the the powerhouse that it once was is being sytematically attacked and dismantled.
