Timeline

The mail was late yesterday (Saturday), so I did not see the envelopes until this morning. Paula opened the "welcome letter" and could not read it because she had tears in her eyes. The other envelope was her green card. Smiles and more tears.

VJ has been wonderful support, especially reading about good things happening to others and watching person after person get their applications approved. Of course there is the other side where some are waiting or have been denied. We will celebrate with the first group and pray for those in the second.

Oh, we have changed the term "conditional permanent resident" and use "temporary permanent resident" as it just seems to be more appropriate.

We will check in here once in while as we rest up for the next round with USCIS. Good luck and God bless to all.

October 26, 2011 - Biometrics
October 26, 2011 - Case moved to CSC
November 23, 2011 -Email from USCIS - card production
November 28, 2011 - Email from USCIS - I485 approved!!!
November 29, 2011 - Welcome letter in the mail
December 5, 2011 - Green card in the mail - date issued 11/16/2011

Lifting Conditions

September 17, 2013 - Sent application

September 20, 2013 - NOA1

October 11, 2013 - Case moved to CSC

October 18, 2013 - Biometrics

January 3, 2014 - Approved

Dec 16, 2013: Removal of conditions on green card

Apr 28, 2015: Became a U.S. Citizen
