Embassies r different.i dont know how that will influence Visa issuance.

For embassies, its purely bizness during office hours and no preferance is giving to resident staffs.

Just hope the CO knows ur father-in-law to be n his daughter

Thank you very much for your response. Yes, they know her father very well. I've been inside the embassy several times and yes, they are all business. They have always been nice to me. Again, thank you.

If he has the clearance, then it could be good but.......all this depends on the Embassy.......but....something could go wrong because....

....wants his daughter to go to the US........this could be interpreted incorrectly as he's trying to get her here and you two do not have a real relationship.

I'd tell him to stay away!

Talking out of experience when my fiancee told the CO that my mom was present his expression changed and said "Oh wow" with a big smile on his face. He asked for both me and my mom`s passport and said "Very well this will be a short one". No proof of evidence and financial docs were found. I assume that he didn`t ask for financial docs since he knew that if I wasn`t making much money my mother`s presence proved as a major support. In the end I feel that if my mom wasn`t there my fiancee would`ve been questioned more.

I don't see the benefit of her father being there, YOU being there would have an impact, as that is extreme evidence of an ongoing relationship. I have to go with the others with not seeing a plus to him being there.

The OP never said her Fiance was going to be present. Think of how she fells. I think it's an encouragement for the Father or Father-in-Law to be present. So I disagree that it is Not a Benefit to her for Support. Are you saying: She should just go alone. Did it ever occur to you that her Father-in-Law might be her transportation to the Interview. If the Father-in-Law knows how things work in that Embassey to a certain extent and knows the people on a proffessional level then I think ITS A GREAT IDEA he goes. He won't even be allowed in the Interview. He is Moral Support and theres nothing wrong with that.

I know that, just making the statment the fiance would be a for sure postive but not so much her father. Yes her father would be good moral support but adds nothing to the approval process.

Depends on what kind of relationship the F-I-L has with the employees of the

embassy. Does he meet them for a beer after work, or chit chat over the

smoking area on breaks ... or is it more formal ...

Yes, I agree. Adds nothing to the Approval but whats going through that womans head. ? To go alone. Hindi.

I would be gratful if Mav's family member went with her and that will happen. They will not let her go alone. It is not a Pinay way of doing things. Those families stick together. She will not go alone and a Family member will be there with her. This I'm sure. Additionally, Mav would fell more at ease and I'm sure the OP fells the same.

If I told her to go alone I would look like an As----hol---. to the Family. I see no reason to believe that other families are different. REMEMBER. They are slowly seeing the posibility of their little girl going. They cherrish what they might loose and miss. No reason to take that from them.

So Hank_Amy. I look outside the Gate. No Offense.

Interview. She will will leave her family shortly most likely.

I missed the humor in that reply. Maybe someday you will ask a serious question and get an Insult reply yourself to your question. You did not make a fool out of the OP. You made one of yourself by that comment. Sometimes we Joke and sometimes we don't say the right things. Look what you wrote. Would you appreciate that?

I agree totally with not going alone, with Amy it is always her best friend that goes with her, and even though I will be there for the interview so will her best friend. Heck I feel more at ease knowing Amy is not running about alone. My comments had nothing to do with that aspect of things.

No offense taken ~

I doubt they would allow a family member into the embassy accompanying her, regardless of whether they work there or not.

If you're asking if it would boost your fiancee's chances of getting the visa, the answer is no.
