Rujby , I think if you get a letter from your wifes doctor explaining why it is a high risk for her to travel for the interview you should be fine. Another VJ member from Haiti did that and it worked for her. Also don't forget I attended the interview with my fiance and I wasn't even aknowledged....I had to roar a little to even get some eye-contact so you never know what they really want. Bon chance my friend.

Chynna

I was just reading your review on about your interview experience, i think US embassy in Haiti hardly approve cases on first attending. it is like they feel more comfortable denying your visa or making your life harder by putting you on Administrative Processing. MANMU had her case completed at NVC in 3 month, she had to wait for around 4 months to get an interview. She was lucky that she had obtained an expedite. I am praying God to have my case work fast because i would not like my wife to give birth to the baby behind me.

Apparently, the embassy is dealing with Several cases, i think that is why it is taking us like 4 months to get an inerview. I also would like to know why KG520 second interview is that far.

People Can Congressman or Senators intervene to speed up your case at USCIS, for example if you show medical reason?

You can call and request an expedite at the USCIS level for various reasons but you need to be prepared to show hard evidence its serious and it needs to be expedited. I had my husbands case expedited (we had already been in the system from nov until feb when I requested expedite due to violence that erupted in karachi.. the out of the normal violence where ppl were randomly killing everybody that was on teh streets) We got it approved showing the travel warnings for karachi etc...

But for medical reasons you need to be well prepared to show Hard evidence about the medical issues and the usually need to be serious enough to validate an expedite approval.

Can always try tho... doesn't ever hurt.

The expedite if approved does NOT go into the NVC/embassy level you have to request those at each level as well.

Good luck

Thank you very much for your help. I requested the expedite and we were asked to send documentation since november 14th. My wife is currently pregnant of 7 weeks now and have some complications. She will be having an appointment with her doctor this tuesday coming where they told her they will write her a letter that she can send to immigration. i hope USCIS will take it into account.

Wow reading all of this is making my head spin! We will not be married until June 2012 and to think it how long it will take just to get to the interview process and then having to wait so long for the interview....it might not be until 2013 before he can come be with me :(
