Hi again,

Another quick question, don't want to take any chances.

While visiting my fiance her camera was in repair (I hadn't taken mine due to it being a big SLR and not enough room in my case). She only received it back last couple of days I was there, so the pictures we have are within that short space of time (I seem to be wearing the same t-shirt for most of them)

We have a couple of us outside her house in Michigan, a few in the amazing Thai restaurant in the local town, one in the car that I took with us both in shot on the way to Chicago for my return flight (I flew into Chicago and she picked me up then we drove to hers). We hae a couple outside O'hare, and a one outside the Hotel we stayed in in Chicago for the night before my flight.

On top of that I have baggage tags, boarding passes for both flights, an ATM receipt from a withdrawal in her town, plus my bank statements to show it aswell. Copies of my stamp at POE, Itineries, copies of bookings for the hotel in Chicago (2 nights when arrived and 1 on the way home, these are in her name only) Receipts from A Best Buy in her town and one in Chicago forgifts I'd bought to take home. Also a transaction on my bank statement from a gas station ATM in a town on the way to Chicago.

Is this gonna be good enough and do the pictures being taken so close together pose a problem? I will be going back in January so I will be getting plenty more pictures in time for the embassy interview.

Sorry for such a long winded (wasn't a quickie after all eh?) but just want to be sure about everything.

Thanks in advance

James

No you're good to go. You can meet the meeting requirements by flying to your fiance, taking a photo at the end of the jetway and you can then turn around and hop back on the flight and go home.

Thanks Baron,

Is there any need to include any emails or skype logs at this point aswell or do they not really take that into account until the Embassy stage?

Gather the emails and Skype logs for the interview at the embassy to provide evidence of ongoing relationship.

The London Embassy is unlikely to look at photos, emails, etc, so don't waste toooo much paper on that when you finally make it to the interview :-)

We sent a few photos and an email or two with our original petition. Then, my fiance brought a few more recent photos, a couple of emails and a few phone statements showing texts, just to be safe, however, the London Embassy never even looked at them! I'd suggest a few to be safe, but that's all. :)

We sent ONE photo with the petition, boarding passes and passport stamps. Nothing else to prove meeting or relationship. And a two sentence answer to the description of how we met.

Approved in 58 days without RFE.

Some people recommend sending more for a difficult consulate. London is not a difficult consulate.

Since your country is an easy one, no need to send any evidence of relationship with the petition, just bring to the interview.

Your charge for the petition is to prove you've met in person in the last two years, not how much in love you are. Stick with hard evidence like boarding passes, passport stamps, a credit card or ATM receipt in her town, and maybe a couple of photos.

Then for your interview take nothing to further prove your relationship, or love, or visits, or photos together or an engagement ring. London doesn't EVER look at that. Positive!

At least your camera wasn't broken all the trip - that would have sucked.

But I think you have enough photos - also if you have a repair receipt for your camera, why not add that or a copy of it to the pile? As in, you would have taken a lot more awesome photos on that trip, but the electronics karma wasn't as good as it could have been.
